Embassy Suites Mandalay Beach - Hotel & Resort

The room was noisey at night and I was awaken the next morning by the sounds of rumper room noises from the guest above us. The rest of the accommodations were fabulous.

1st cabin very nice front desk people, no charge upgrade, free drinks from 5pm to 8pm, great room service, the best free breakfast i've ever had all you can eat too. Clean rooms, great views nice big pool.not cheap but well worth every cent you spend.also a great gift shop a 10 in everyway

First, the parking was the worst of any place I have been and they have the nerve to charge you $15 a day, separate from your room...which by the way we were not told about this when we booked the room....my husband and I are both handicapped and they expected us to walk the whole complex because they had no parking place available... Second, we were in the midst of getting dress for our grandson wedding and the girl came by to clean our room and requested she come back in 1 hour...we left for the wedding, came back late last night and to our amaze the room was not picked up...no clean towels, etc....so no shower this morning..... Third, the breakfast was great, so whoever runs the breakfast, needs to take over the hotel, maybe it would run better... I have stay at many hotels and motels across the United States, and this was the worst experience I have ever had

Gorgeous location on the beach, and an overall decent stay. Housekeeping was the real drawback. The hotel is older and while they have done some updating, you can see the age if you look closely. You'd notice it less if housekeeping did a better job on the rooms. In my room I found a leftover bag of chips in a drawer, a comb in one of the chairs, and a lot of small articles, bottle tops, candy wrappers, and similar under furniture, out on the patio, etc. The staff everywhere was pleasant, the breakfast good, and this wouldn't keep me from staying there again if I wanted to stay in that area. They could go from good to great if housekeeping just paid attention to the details more.

The property is nice. Location is very nice. Opens to sand and bike path. Relatively isolated location with lots of beach. Decent surf. Rooms were roomy. Decorated a little funky, but comfortable, roomy, reasonably clean. Pools are nice, can rent bikes, scooters, boogie boards, etc for beach fun. Decent bar/lounge with dance floor.

Room unsatisfactory: misty smell possibly molding, dirty linen left in restroom. Transferred to another room: front tiolet plugged up. Not a place for singles mostly family focused hotel with lots of kids and pets. Only redeeming quality the staff was very helpful due to the issues I presented and it was right on beach. I would not return to this hotel nor recommend to others.

We rented a small electric boat at the nearby Marina. So fun!

The free breakfast and free happy hour were a nice bonus. One thing you can never count on is the weather. It was pretty chilly our first two days at the hotel. We were finally able to enjoy the pool and the beach on our third day. It was disappointing because I pictured myself lounging poolside or on the beach our entire stay. Once the weather warmed up, the beach was beautiful and relaxing. I was surprised at how dingy some of the towels in the hotel room were. The room could use some updating, but we enjoyed our stay and would return again. Next time we would like to stay in the suites with the beach views.

The location was the best. Right on the beach and close to many restaurants and stores. Just a few minutes drive to Ventura Harbor. The staff was very friendly. You cam ride bikes, boogie board, or just relax on the beach or by the pool. They truly had enough for anyone to enjoy an active vacation but enough spots for anyone to enjoy a restful vacation, too.

This was our 3rd visit in The last 9 months, We plan on returning soon.
