Overview

The sprawling Village at Squaw Valley, at the base of Squaw Valley, helps make the Olympic Valley one of the most-visited sports destinations in the U.S. Guests flock here because of the area's history as host of the VIII Winter Olympic Games and, of course, for the world-class skiing/snowboarding, the hiking and golfing in summer, and relaxation any time at all. The Village features restaurants, shops, art galleries and rock-climbing, plus easy access to mid-mountain swimming lagoon and Olympic Ice Pavilion (open year-round, fees apply).

Rooms

Six different room configurations, all featuring modern mountain decor, give parties of one to 8 guests plenty of options to choose from at the Village at Squaw Valley. Standard rooms include one queen bed and a comfortable sitting area. There are also studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom options. The three-bedroom condominium, the largest option, is a spacious 1,350 square feet and features three full bathrooms and a fully stocked kitchen. All the property's beds are made with cozy down comforters, and rooms include free high-speed Internet access. Studio rooms and condominiums feature gas fireplaces and heated tile flooring. Some larger accommodations include a washer/dryer.

Property features

Even though Lake Tahoe and Donner Lake are each a short drive from the Village at Squaw Valley, some guests never leave Squaw Valley once they arrive. There is just so much to do right here -- snow sports, ice-skating, golf, hiking, biking, swimming -- all while gazing at the spectacular granite cliffs that surround the village. For the ultimate in vacation relaxation, visit the Trilogy Spa, in the center of the Village, for a full-service menu of Hawaiian-style ski treatments and massage. Within the village, guests can dine on sushi, have a pint in an authentic Irish pub, feast on pizza or take a deli sandwich to go. There are several reception rooms available for catered weddings of up to 500 guests.
