Amazing Ski Escape
The resort was fantastic. They thought of everything. The bellhops are especially friendly and more than happy to help in any way, including advise. The cleaning staff kept the room spotless. They also accomodated my requests for an extra bag of or regular coffee each morning and an extra shampoo every day (of which they left extra conditioner, shower gel, and lotion). The rooms are quite sound proof. We didn't hear any noise from anywhere. The beds are very firm. They were a little too firm for our comfort, but I'm sure others would love it. There are robes in your room to go to the outdoor heated pool/hot tub or spa in. The have a wind resistant exterior and soft interior. It's great watching everyone walk around outside in robes when it's 40 degrees outside with drinks in their hand. It's almost like a modern day Toga Party (without people losing control). I had a great trip and would go back in a heartbeat!

Sightseeing tip:
Short drive from hotel
Since lift tickets include Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows, don't limit your skiing to just Squaw Creek. You can take the free shuttle to Alpine Meadows or it is a very short drive away. We enjoyed skiing Alpine Meadows more because it has an absurd number of unbelievably long blue runs and the mountain is very easy to navigate. Also be sure to check out Sunnyside for lakeside dining. It's a short drive away and has incredible views of the lake and surrounding mountains, fantastic food, and the friendliest staff.

Housekeeping lacking
We have been staying at the Resort at Squaw Creek since our children were 4 & 6. They are now in college and wanted to go there when Mom & Dad would still be paying! We were out of our suite for hours and return mid afternoon. In a resort of this caliber and cost, It is really disappointing to have to call housekeeping to have someone come clean your room when it is 2 or 3 in the afternoon.

Good Programs
We went on a Thanksgiving week so they had great activities for kids: gingerbread houses, elves giving away candies, santa/mrs claus visited, hot chocolate/cider drinks, making smores- and of course they had nice area for family sledding. Food was good.

Room with a view!
Stayed in a room with a view that looked out over the golf course and out to the northwest side of the valley, The room was very nice and included a fireplace which was a nice touch. The room was very comfortable and clean and the bathroom was larger than expected. Great weekend get-away!

Be wary of the Valley view rooms!
When I got there, they couldn't find my Orbitz reservation (they said they've been having problems getting reservations from Orbitz) and I hadn't printed it out so I had to dig out my iPad and try to get connected to their wifi ("free") which only worked once I moved away from the reception area. If you get a valley view room (vs. forest view), make sure you're getting a view of the pool area. Otherwise you could get stuck with a view of the roof of the lobby. Sure, if you look out in the distance, there's a view of the valley, but there's also a beautiful pool which would have been nicer to see than the adjoining roof! I got charged for valet parking ($20/day), which I didn't use, but I did use their bike storage ($5/day/bike) which wasn't on my bill when I checked out. When I pointed this out, and because of my experience w/ the view, they removed the valet and didn't charge me for bike storage, so that was nice. (Last year, we stored our bikes in the room no problem but this time they forced us to use their storage.) Also, don't forget there's an $18 resort fee. That's how you end up with "free" wifi! Once I connected my iPad, I was good, but my boyfriend never managed to be able to connect his Macbook Air.
