Great Location Good Price
We have stayed here several times, and it is my husband's favorite in the area for the price. We visit this area several times a year. I love having the kitchen. It has everything except for a conventional oven.

Short walk from hotel
Tthe night life is not a long walk, it is kind of an inconvenient walk, so if you have a car, I would recommend driving. If you do not have a car, the walk is not too bad.

Good Value
We were in town for a concert in Berkeley. The hotel was about 4 miles away, but still very easy to get into town. BART was about a mile away, so a nice walk through a so-so neighborhood during the day or a $7 cab ride back to the hotel at night. Cab ride all the way to Berkeley was about $20. Check in was a little slow and you only get maid service once a week, but the staff was friendly and helpful. Room had a small kitchen so you can cook if you want, and there are grocery stores / restraunts / coffee shops / liquor stores within walking distance (and lots of other shopping). All in all a good value for the location.

Stay At Extended Stay Inn - Emeryville
The Stay was nice and I enjoyed the room, however lights weren't working and the screen had been removed from the window and left sitting against the wall. I'm not one to really be bothered by this type of thing so I let it be, but the light would've been helpful for the school work I had to accomplish.

Shopping tip:
Short drive from hotel
There are alot of stores and a movie theatre near this location. The Highway entrances are a little tricky, so be sure to map out your destination before leaving the hotel or you may end up driving in circles.
