Bay Breeze Inn

For the price I paid it was an amazing stay there clean easy access. Staff was polite and friendly. The room served its purpose and excelled passed what I expected especially for the price.

The Bay Breeze greets with high security fencing, checks in behind bullet proof glass, has a long list of rules, no washcloths, and doors that could easily be kicked in by one of the rulebreakers. Not convenient enough to the airport to deal with that for the price.

Room was small and did not have a place to hang your clothes, the bathroom was ok but you only recived one towel, no wash clochs. The tv was in a big cabnet that was in front of the bed with verey little walk space in front of the bed and no tv remote. The room was about 100 feet fro the 880 freeway, it was hard to sleep. The table that was in the room was verey wobbily, it was hard to work. There was no phone in the room. The only thing I liked was the security Gate you have to enter to get to your room. No amenities (pool business center, ect) The closest dining options is about 2 miles south.

Booked due to location and price. My main gripe was the door didn't fully shut and the windows were really old so it was very noisy very early.

Modest accommodations at a very cheap price. At this price one doesn't expect the Ritz, so as long as expectations are low in only for very basic accommodations then you will get what you pay for. THERE'S NO PHONE IN ROOM FOR A WAKEUP CALL SO BRING AN ALARM OR CELL PHONE. Despite this, a good value for the price if you are looking for no frills.

The hotel was nasty. NO PHONE in the room... I had to walk down to the front desk numerous times to get anything... NO CHAIR... Key didn't work... Had to walk down several times to ask for a new room, which they did not give me... HORRIBLE service and HORRIBLE place to stay... DO NOT STAY HERE....

I would not recommend this hotel. Noisy. No amenities other than a small refrigerator. Charge for ice. You have request an ice bucket (tiny). While the bed linens looked neat and clean, I discover tiny bugs (hopefully ants) crawling over the floors and furniture. When I went to the airport these same bugs were in my luggage. I had to spray the bags with insecticide and wash all my belongs. No place close for dining of any kind.

Street is under demolition, cannot access hotel easily. Trains passing by all night, freeway on the other side, BART in the middle & air traffic overhead. WOW

While I was not expecting anything great for the low price, this motel experience was worse than I expected. Pros: -Price, it was cheap. I paid $45/ per night -Location: while the neighborhood was industrial and rough with no public transportation, it was only 4 miles to downtown Oakland and just off the freeway. Having a car, this made it incredibly convenient to experience some of the nicest parts of Oakland and San Fransisco in just a 10 minute drive. Cons: -The mini fridge in my room did not work well, barely kept food cool. -Room service arrived between 2-4 pm each day, which meant sometimes I was out in the AM for job interviews and came back to an uncleaned room. Often they cleaned while I was there. -There was no iron, although I was able to borrow one from the front desk with a deposit. -You had to pay to use the ice vending machine (25 cents) -Internet wifi was VERY spotty and often did not work at all. -Exterior of motel was unclean, lots of empty beer bottles and trash outside of the rooms, which made it feel unsafe. -Cable only had about 6 working channels.
