Save your money

The rooms, spa experience and fitness center were average. The staff need to work on customer service and seem to be just a bunch of young 20-yr olds that are not familiar with what a five-star experience should be. From the "hey dude" from the valet to the restaurant telling us if we wanted to sit outside and dine it would be "TPE" (she later explained it means terrace policy explained). The in room amenities are very average and for the age of the property I expected more. Robes and towels were nice however the shampoo, shower gel and soap seemed cheap. Simple things like a sewing kit are not in the room and when we called to have one brought we were informed that they are reserved for the villas not the bungalows. At $600 per night this seems silly and appears that they are cutting costs. I would eat at local restaurants vs the hotel as the food at the hotel was average, nothing really stood out. The bartender was great and the speciality drinks offered were worth a try.

Unbelievable Luxury

I never really had a desire to travel to California but now after this trip I can't wait to go back. The area is beautiful and the weather was unbelievable. The hotel....what can I say it was absolutely fantastic. The room was spacious with so many extras including a fireplace and balcony. LOVED IT...and can't wait to go back.

As good as it gets!

Arguably one of the finest resort hotel complexes we have ever visited, and we travel a lot. The personnel were friendly and accommodating at every turn, The layout is visually exciting yet soothing. The bungalow was beautiful and all wishes seemed inherently provided. The staff volunteered off site restaurants and attractions ( a rarity in destination hotel business plans). Very expensive but worth it.

Javier, a mexican restaurant unlike any other you have visited, just down the coast by about 2 miles. Part of a great complex "Crystal Cove Promenade".

Great weekend getaway!

Hotel was sold out. They had no record of my reservation through [...] when we arrived. I had confirmation number so they honored the reservation by upgrading us to a suite which they had available. A nice gesture by the Hotel but still awkward for the Hotel and for us. The room was elegant and well appointed.
