Great hotel
Had a great stay at The Island Hotel. The staff are very courteous and helpful. The location is next to one of the best outdoor shopping centers and just minutes from the beach.

Excellent Business alternative
On the whole the hotel is excellent. As indicated above, my complaints were with, 1. The front desk, concierge, car/parking attendants. 2. $29.00/nt. for parking is excessive.

Excellent Choice
I was between the Island and the nearby Marriott. For the same price I chose this hotel mainly because it offered free internet as opposed to the Marriott's typical nickle and dimeing everything. I'm glad I did. It was a first class experience, the rooms were comfortable and quiet and the staff was very friendly. Perfect Choice.

Save the $29 Valet Fee and park in the nearby mall lot after checking in. It's literally at the end of the entrance to the hotel.

Newport Beach, my new home (I wish!)
From the entrance to the hotel (a majestic long walk to the front doors that are consistently held open by the bellhops) to the gorgeous lobby to the beautiful rooms, this stay was fabulous! I can't speak well enough of the staff and the property! Best stay I've had!

Talk a walk to Fashion Island (a couple of blocks away). There are several dining and shopping opportunities in that area! The in-house dining is a bit pricey, but only a few blocks away is some very reasonable and delicious food!

This hotel does it right, and you feel it from the moment you pull up in front. All staff have a there are no problems, just things I can help you with attitude. Very nice, and I will be back (soon, hopefully).

Value Hotel
Hotel staff was very impressive and the room was alway kept clean. I believe this hotel was a great value. The location was great. The room service, hotel bar, and hotel restaraunt was a bit spendy. The staff was always eager to help with directions, dining suggestions, ect.
