Great place
Great location and beautiful property: the hotel has expansive grounds with golf terrain, swimming pool and Jacuzzi, and attractive bar and lounge. The room we stayed in was OK but in need of some renovations; especially the bathroom. Overall we had a great experience and the location of the hotel couldn't be better.

Very Nice... but you'll pay extra for everything
This hotel is really nice. It's huge and there are 3 pools and a restaurant. The rooms are clean and comfortable. My one gripe is that it felt a little nickel and dimey to me to be charged extra to park my car there while a guest ($20) and they charge for wi-fi ($10.95 for the cheapest package). They have a coffe maker in your room but no cream or sugar. Coffee can be had for $4 per pot plus 20% service charge and a $3 delivery charge. Just charge me an extra $30 and quit upcharging for stuff that's basic...parking, wifi and creamer should be included.

Great resort-like hotel, a few downsides
Beautiful hotel with lots of amenities and wonderful staffs. Staffs are all friendly to my little puppy. Lots of green to walk and relax. Great location, close to the beaches, natural reserve and restaurants. Every room has a balcony, which is really cool. The negatives are having to pay for Internet and Parking. These add up to $100 or more per stay. Hotel also charges $100 for pet cleaning fee, which is a lot more than other hotel chains like Fairmount. Also we have to call for housekeeping, don't they automatically do that in hotels? And the pool area did not provide pool towels, my husband swims daily so we have to keep calling for clean towels.

Family Get away for Spring Break
We were a little concerned after we booked this trip because we had read a couple of negative reviews about the quality of the property and the dated rooms. We were pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff was great, the location was great with easy access to Laguna Beach and Huntington Beach and Disneyland. Fashion Island and Balboa Island right there. The rooms were indeed a bit dated but they are slated for a renovation later this year. regardless, we were comfortable and it was a good choice for me and my two children. Someone who is looking for higher end business class may be disappointed but for families there are three pools, easy parking etc.

Clean room, Friendly Staff, BUT TERRIBLE VALUE! You pay for EVERYTHING extra! Will NOT stay again!!
This is my very first hotel review - and we stay in hotels at least a few times a year. That should tell you something, that it was important enough for me to review so you all had a better idea of what it's like. This trip was very last minute and I only spent about 15-20 minutes researching a place to stay, and this place looked "good enough" to me. The place itself was nice and clean. However, online, we booked a king bed for 3 nights. When we got there late on the first night, they had no king beds for us, so they put us in a double for the first night and said they'd move us the next morning when a king opened up. We woke up that first morning, and as I went to use the restroom (which was the size of a portapotty in the double bed rooms), the entire floor, toilet and toilet paper were soaked from the upstairs bathroom leaking. When I went to the front desk to get the keys for the new room they promised us, I told them about the leak and they barely acknowledged that I said the entire bathroom was soaked. We got our new room and it was clean and a good size, as well as the bathroom. No more issues with the room. However, there were other things that I overlooked when booking, like NO continental breakfast, NO free wifi (it's $7 per 15 minutes or $11 for 24 hours), NO free parking! I was most upset about the parking because it was never mentioned, even when checking in. It's $20 a day to park there, and the parking is all on one side of the facility and we stayed on the complete opposite side. We had to drag our luggage all the way across the property - about 15 minutes of walking - to our room. There wasn't any close place for my husband to even drop off me and the baby that was near our room. I hated that the parking lot was so far away, and then to find out upon checkout we owed $60 to park there for the three days. I will NOT be returning. I can find a clean room elsewhere.

Great Valentine getaway
My wife and I had a great time. The grounds were beautiful to walk around in. Loved the pools and spas, and played some shuffle board and ping pong as well. We brought our beach cruisers and road to Balboa island, took the ferry to the peninsula and had lunch at Ruby's on the pier. Very relaxing getaway.

Long walk from hotel
Go south on Jamboree a few blocks and your on Balboa island, check out the cute shops, get a Balboa bar, take the ferry to the peninsula, ride the ferris wheel, have dinner at BJs by the pier, and walk to the end of the pier and see what the locals are catching.
