last minute christmas
we booked this hotel because it was the best value between good reviews from users and price, and we were NOT disappointed. It may not be super high end luxury penthouse sort of stuff, but for the price of a 'valu' type place you get an absolutely fabulous stay. And getting discounts on the valet and food through this site made it even better. Bed was comfy, room was nice, staff were awesome. We didn't try any of the hotels other amenities as we were spending most of our time with family, but I"m sure they were nice. Overall, good stay!

Location fantastic, staff excellent. The junior suite pull-out couch is very uncomfortable, but they moved us quickly and easily.

Fall Getaway
This hotel is very nice, the location is great and the staff was very friendly. The valet parking fee is a little steep.

Lovely
I was intimiditated with staying at such a fancy hotel. Not a problem.The employees were very nice, friendly and so polite. It was the other guests that were snooty and aloof. The restaurant was a bit pricy for my modest budget so I ran across the street a few times to get lunch or breakfast. What I did eat at the Bamboo Lounge was yummy. The shuttle service was very helpful. They will even take you to local restaurants! I was able to avoid renting a car. Also, storing my luggage at the hotel was great. Check out was at noon, but my flight wasn't until 9pm. So I was still able to get a shuttle ride to Balboa Island and take in the sites. The TV remote control was annoying. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. I didn't like having to pay to use the internet in their business office. Overall, great stay at the Fairmont!

Very nice
We had a great time. The hotel was beautiful and very clean. I was not happy that I had to pay $28 a day to park my car since the rental did not have a hybrid. Otherwise would stay there agian.

Fairmont at Newport Beach
The staff was amazing. I'm not a big fancy girl but they didn't care they were professional, intellegent, fast, kind and informative. My bell man not only got me to my room but explained the property to me. He even went and got my ice. Room service was wonderful and the inhouse food was great! It is convienently located and I recommend it to anyone. It would be good to be informed that this hotel charges a $28.00 fee a day for the convience of having someone else park your car. Otherwise you can't go wrong.

Upset Traveler
Fairmont Newport Beach
The building and room were reasonably ice and most of the staff were very pleasant to deal with, however the cleaning staff leaves much to be desired. They made no effort to make certain the room was cleaned during the entire stay. The only way to ensure the beds were made and the bathroom cleaned was to call the front desk and explain the situation to them and have the cleaning staff come up then. The other issue was that in a day where even McDonalds offers free WiFI having a hotel of this caliber charge $15 a day for internet is just a little ridicules.
