Incredible!

Wow! This is a great hotel. A roof-top deck, with views of both the ocean and the back bay. A quick walk to the beach boardwalk. Clean, comfortable rooms. Yummy cookies and breakfast. I will most defintely stay again!

We loved staying here!

We loved staying at the Bay Shores Peninsula Hotel! It felt like we were staying in a bed and breakfast, it felt like staying in someone's home, which we really liked. There isn't a whole lot of parking, but they will feed the meter in the city lot across the street, which is really nice. There's fresh cookies every day at 3, and they stash the leftovers in a cookie jar in the kitchen area. Breakfast isn't much to write home about, but it's nice that it's there! We had a turn down service every night with chocolate on our pillow. They gave us new toiletries everyday. The room was clean, but the baseboards could use a deep clean. Overall we loved our stay and will definitely stay there the next time we travel to California!

We enjoyed breakfast at My Galley, just a little ways down from the Bay Shores. Awesome breakfast burritos, coffee and iced tea!

Comfortable, pleasant stay

Stayed for several weekdays in order to visit relatives in the area. Just a few blocks away from the Newport Pier. Though it is on the busy Balboa Blvd, the windows (which opened!) effectively blocked the noise of traffic. The parking was a bit tight, but the staff will feed parking meters for you in the lot across the street if you ask them to. The room was rather small, but comfortable. The breakfast was average (as in many hotels), but they offered 24-hour access to a few food items (bagels and cookies), which was nice. I enjoyed taking my breakfast and newspaper up to the rooftop, where there are tables and chairs, and enjoying the view of the ocean and harbor while I ate. I would recommend it and would stay again.
