Great downtown Napa Hotel
I've stayed here 3 times now. Mostly I stay here because of the fantastic location, and the peaceful river-side rooms - which ARE nice. Staff is great. Outside patio with firepit is nice too. My only complaints are in the area of room cleanliness and fitness center. This last time I had two tiny spiders in my room, and when I took the extra blanket (it was cold) out of its clear plastic case from the closet, there were a few long women's hairs on it (gross). The fitness center is very, very weak...with like 3 machines and only one elliptical (which was broken).

Good comfort & Clean
The room was large and very comfortable. The bedding was excellent. There was a sofa, desk and 2 chairs and it was not cramped. The bathroom was very clean and my wife appreciated having a separate lighted area to do her make-up, hair, etc. The rest of our experience was average - no complaints - just nothing special. There was a nice patio area with fireplaces for cool evenings - but no one was really gathering there when we checked it out the 2 nights we stayed. Good hotel for comfort and room, but if you are expecting anything else, you may be disappointed.

Wine Train Weekend
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was very close to the Wine Train station and the Ox Bow Market. They have a nice fire pit out back and a restaurant on the street with great appetizers. The noise level of the hotel was pretty loud. We could hear the guests next door, who seemed to be speaking normally. At night people walking in the halls were easily heard as well. Rooms are very clean and cute decore.

The beds were not comfortable at all. The first night the bottom sheets kept coming off, made for a restless night of sleep. They did fix it, but the mattresses need to be replaced!

Money-saving tip:

Don't buy the wine card with 11 visits unless you plan on being there for a week or longer. Since this was our first trip to Napa we had no idea what to expect. We made it to one of the wineries that we paid $49!

I'll stay here again!
Great place at the southern edge of the Napa Valley. Cool to walk across the lot to Cuvee. Great lobby. Excellent bed. If the prices stay reasonable, I'll be back.

River Terrace Inn
It is a nice hotel with a nice view out back. It is off by itself with out much around. We ate breakfast there and it was terrible. The worst part was the coffee. I ventured out to get some coffee and it took me a half an hour to find a place. There are better places in Napa to stay.
