Great location
Very old hotel, but clean and decent. We had a fireplace in our room which made for nice ambiance, especially because it got pretty cold at night. Staff is wonderful.. very friendly and accomodating. Unfortunately, because we did not book directly with the hotel, we got the room that nobody else wants, which was adequate. But for the price, we shoud've gotten much better.

Great hotel!
spent one night here for a girls' night out, there were 5 of us in 2 rooms. Location was perfect, we didn't have to drive anywhere and just walked around downtown for food and drinks. The only thing we wished it had was a hot tub and the walls could be more insulated. Breakfast delivered to the room was a nice touch.

Bon Vino
We arrived to find that our reservation from 2 months prior was unavailable. We didn't understand how our pre-paid reservation was lost and nor was it explained properly?? We were told that there were no other rooms available until we refused the room we were dealt. Amazingly, a room was available and satisfied outr needs. The hotel is comfortable and in a good location. The staff was good overall except for their reservation blunder. We enjoyed sitting on the outdoor area overlooking the river.

Wonderful visit
We had an absolutely wonderful stay. Room was spacious and very clean. The front desk staff was extremely friendly; they gave us great suggestions for sightseeing. We could not have been more pleased with our stay at the Napa River Inn. Would recommend this to anyone visiting the area. We did not have one complaint. Great!!!

Great Location
We used the Inn as our HQ for 6 days of tasting wine in Napa and Sonoma valleys. It's the perfect spot if you plan a new trip each day. The Inn provides an excellent caffe breakfast served to your room every day, at a time you can specify. A pod coffee system is provided in the room. We never had to do a morning tasting on an empty stomache! The hotel service was excellent, but we had to change rooms. It's really important to get a preferred room. We did not. The first room had numerous problems, but they quickly and with maximum apologies got us into a better one. The rooms are built into an old office structure and the parking lot is shared with several restaurants and clubs. The noise isolation is poor. Our room was ground level in the Embarcadero. We were serenaded by clomps on the stairs and the beep beep of cars locking and unlocking all night. People talking loudly as they walked to their cars sounded like they were in the room with us. So...get a room away from the lot (facing the river if possible), and on the 2nd floor. The upside was that each day we were at each morning destination early after a great breakfast, and each night we easily walked to a different place to eat, usually gourmet food. We're in our 60's. There are many bars and a lively night scene that we had no energy left for after 3-4 tastings, but younger crowds were clearly having a great time. The crowd at Angele's and Silo's was very upper class, with beautiful people in limos and cabs coming and going.

Nearby Angele is one of the best restaurants in the valley (which is saying someting out here), and you can roll out of bed and into their bar. Try the Hendricks Gimlet!

Lovely hotel, great staff
This was a beautiful choice of hotel. The Towers deluxe room with balcony out to the river was extremely comfortable and pleasant. We also booked another room for my brother in a exec room, which was also very nice. Facilities around the hotel and within walking distance of the town were terrific. The staff were very welcoming. The only downside was that [...]had not forwarded our reservation details, which was a little embarrassing and concerning. Thankfully, there were two rooms available when we arrived in the evening and the staff were able to sort things out with [...]fairly quickly. If it had been one night later, they were fully booked and we would have been left without a room to stay.
