Avant-garde Silicon Valley hotel with outside-the-box amenities
Creativity is encouraged at every turn at Joie de Vivre's Hotel Avante Mountain View. Rearrangeable furniture on wheels, toys and office supplies in rooms, a music-listening lounge and once-a-week chair massages are intended to inspire the mostly business crowd who stays in this boutique hotel. this hotel was very clean and very quiet. It exceeded our expectations on every level. the complementary breakfast was great and plantiful and the staff were very friendly. front desk even called the room to ensure everything was ok with it. there was no outside noise and couldnt hear anybody in adjacent rooms. highly recommend this hotel to anyone the value for price is exceptional. if we are ever back in mountain view we would def stay here again and will look out for other hotels by this company

this hotel exceeded our expectations, the rooms were well equipped and hotel in general was very clean. breakfast was good. staff were attentive. location was great it was right around the corner from the function we were attending and close to the freeways. noise was non existant we didnt hear a thing and the beds were very comfortable, we woke feelign very rested. would def recommend and stay again if ever we are back in the area.

Joyous
A Good and Relaxing Rest
What I like best about this hotel is that the room is very clean and comfortable. There were 3 of us sharing the room and it was spacious. I also loved the little notes and chocolates that the cleaner placed on the bedside table every day. It really gives a nice warm personal touch. The hotel receptionist was very friendly and approachable too.

Great Unexpected Jewel

OVERNIGHT STAY
My friends and I always stay at Avante. The staff is friendly and the rooms are a good size. The beds are comfortable which is a big plus. And the rooms are always clean. Although, they could use softer towels for customers who have sensitive skin. Other than that, the hotel is perfect.

Better than expected
The Hotel Avante looks a little bleak from the outside--pulling off El Camino into the awkward parking lot left me nervous about our choice, but we needed something close to Stanford for my reunion. However, the front desk staff was helpful and enthusiastic, the room was comfortable, clean and new, the wifi was immediately available and consistent. Every day housekeeping left new bottles of water and candy on the pillow. There's a lounge on the 3rd floor that apparently had wine in the evenings (though I was never there during my stay, so can't confirm), and the room rate includes breakfast in their "breakfast room," which looks like two guest rooms that have been converted into a small dining space. Crowded and a bit awkward, but the buffet of breakfast options included eggs, bacon, and pancakes alongside the usual bagels & fruit. Overall, the hotel is definitely not situated in a vacation hot spot, but if you need a place to stay in the Palo Alto/Mt. View area that offers more of the comforts of a city hotel, Avante will serve you well.

not a fancy place but comfortable
It's not a fancy, but clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff are very nice. The complimentary breakfast is good. Room price is kinda high.
