Trip to Stanford Hospital

The room was spacious and in a very quiet neighborhood. The bed was very comfortable. There was plenty of hot water for showers or baths. The breakfast included waffles, toast, English muffins, fruit, hard boiled eggs, and cereal. Only down side was that some local restaurants had gone out of business and another one close by was only open daily for lunch. However, there was a nearby Mexican grocery store that also had a small restaurant area that served inexpensive, tasty food. Overall, a pleasant experience.

Clean and comfortable!

We had a very comfortable stay here. Room is very clean and bed is comfortable. The Continental breakfast was very adequate. It's obvious that the management of this hotel cares what you think. We would stay here again.

Perfect Eggs

An inexpensive stay for anyone who needs to be at Stanford for a function. Simple comfort, our room had that characteristic smell of a room converted from smoking to non-smoking. Breakfast was plain but sufficient, with great tasting hard-boiled eggs. Overall, the right price for the right room.

Low rent but well maintained.

Hard to beat for the money. Near Mountain View and very close to 101. If you're traveling to the Valley for work on a budget, this is not a bad choice. Don't expect the latest and greatest, think well maintained 80's. It has free wifi (kinda slow), cable, and breakfast.

Nicer than I thought

I have stayed in several hotels but this one I was expecting to not be so nice but it surprised me. The staff was not as friendly as I thought that they could be but the room was nice for a three star and very clean. I would stay there again great price!

Do Not Stay Here!

The best thing about this hotel was the day that I checked out. First, my room had a musty/moldly smell to it so the next morning I asked to switch rooms. And my room did NOT have a Microwave Oven as advertised. Apparently, I insulted the Front Desk Clerk by asking him to change my room b/c of the smell. He did so very reluctantly. My new assigned room did NOT have any bedspreads on either of the beds, and when I asked for bedspreads from the motel housekeeping, she said "No, no more bedspreads". What? I had to call the Front Desk to ask for bedspreads, and when I did, the Front Desk asked me why did I need bedspreads on both beds if I am the only person in the room. What?? Then, I tried to relax watching TV....but oh yeah, the Premium TV Cable Stations & Premium Movie Stations did NOT work. When I went to the Front Desk to ask them to fix it, the Front Desk Clerk treated me like I was an 8 yr. old and pointed to the instructions on the piece of paper asking me to read the instructions like I was some kind of idiot and could not follow directions! Then he yelled at me right in front of another Guest in line at the Front Desk indicating that I was being most difficult in that first I asked my room to be changed, then I asked for bedspreads for both beds, and then I couldn't seem to follow the simple instructions on how to work the premium stations on the TV. Trust me, I have NEVER been treated like this in any motel/hotel establishment in my entire lifetime! Then, when the motel cable repair man came to fix my TV in my room, well guess what? There was something wrong with not only my TV, but several other rooms in the motel, and we could not order any premium cable tv stations or premium movie stations. Did I ever get an apology? NO I DID NOT! Perhaps it is the norm in the country that the Front Desk Person is from to treat women as "second class citizens", but as far as decent courtesy goes, the motel and the motel staff at this establishment lack any basic customer service skills whatsoever! The room furniture was nicked and worn, the closet had a musty smell to it, and thus the clothing that was hung up in the closet smelled, the outside pool water was COLD, there was used furniture piled up in the walkways of the motel for days, and the walls/flooring were so thin that I could hear and feel guests walking on the second floor in the room above me. The only average thing about this establiishment was that the housekeeping staff did a fine job of daily cleaning in my room. Since my motel stay was pre-paid upfront, so there was no chance of receiving a refund or I would have left on day #2. If I could have, I would have. Do NOT stay at this motel, find another place no matter the cost. The County Inn is worthy of ONLY 1 Star. Book elsewhere, especially if you are a woman traveling alone, the men working the Motel Front Desk treat women with zero respect!
