An OK place to stay

We worked the Gilroy Garlic fest. I picked this hotel because of the location to Gilroy and the price. The room was not very clean and the towels weren't a good size and thin. I was very disappointed when I went to our room and the door to the hotel had a garbage can that was overflowing. The housekeeper brought towels, didn't straighten the beds or even empty the garage cans, that was disappointing.

Comfortable room with really thin walls

There was supposed to be a coffee maker in the room but there wasn't one. Instead of giving me a coffee maker, the attendant filled a pot of coffee for me to take up to the room. The walls were thin and we could hear every movement our neighbors made. We were running late and they were accommodating when I asked for extra time to check out.

I paid what I get

Room was clean, enough towels, king size bed was firm and the pillows were new. The whole time I was checking in the clerk was having a conversation via his personal cell phone and of course speaking his native language what was not English.

It was awful!

I stayed overnight. My room was a smoking room that reeked with obviously peeled off no smoking sign from door. When I opened the sliding glass door to the balcony, the screen door fell off the track. The air conditioner and clock were unplugged. I had to move the armchair away from the a/c in order to plug the a/c in. When I did that, I bruised my thigh on the writing desk. The coffee pot did not work. When I pulled the coffee pot tray out to find the cord to plug in and troubleshoot why it wasn't working, I found a bloody used tuberculin syringe. I found a half gallon of milk and two Fuzee bottles in the refrigerator from a previous guest when I opened the regrigerator to put my dinner left-overs away. The breakfast area was very small with signs all over saying that guests were not to take breakfast foods to their rooms. Frankly, I couldn't wait to leave and I will never stay there again.

Neglected and poorly maintained

This hotel is situated along a street with other extended stay type hotels some of which I have stayed in. It shows OK from the outside and based on the Quality Inn branding and price I tried it out. Very disappointed. Check in OK and lobby area fine but hallways and corridors are dingy, some areas smell and the room while relatively clean is very basic. Not what I expect from Quality Inn. It will not kill you to stay here, and breakfast is reasonable.

Checking In

I was able to check in to one of my rooms prior to 2:00 which worked out well because my husband is very sick and need to rest. Unfortunetly the other room I had was not ready when we got back to it at 7:00 pm in the evening.
