It's worse than what I expected. It's the worst Ramada I have ever seen. The room is very compact. Free continental breakfast is really simple. Room is clean. No other complains but worth the money you paid for.
A little older looking from the outside, the interiors are updated and quite nice. It's conveniently located up the road from the historic downtown (a quick drive or long walk) but with little noise from traffic. Breakfast is minimal. Still not a
While the room was pretty tiny (I think they call it "efficient" in the business), it was quite clean and remarkably nice for a hotel in this price class. The towels weren't fancy linen, but they were good size and not threadbare. Carpet was clean
enough that I didn't feel the need to wear slippers all the time. And the staff was very friendly. A nice change from the other bargain dives I've stayed at in Monterey.
Quick stay and pleasant but .... Would have preferred a pool and open feeling rather than its quaintness. You overlooked a parking lot and intersection. Not much outside ambiance. Rooms were fine. Clean. Nice beds and pillows
Good room and ok breakfast. The breakfast location is a bit small, but hey how much space do need to eat a bagel and grab a coffee.
Monterey centre is just a short drive from there.
Personell is great. The owner was very helpful when our "lost
luggage" arrived from the airline. Thanks!
The staff could not have been nicer. They helped us to check in a few hours early because we were traveling with a young infant. The room was pretty bad though. Not dirty, just old and crummy. It is a shame that $150 only gets you a room like
that, but that's downtown Monterey for you, I guess. Also, the sound of people walking upstairs was incredibly loud. I have never stayed in a hotel with such bad sound conduction between the stories.
