Mariposa Inn and Suites

A real gem at a great price. In-room fireplace on a chilly December night made it so cozy. Friendly, helpful staff. Good location across from mall but quiet. Nice breakfast. Will definitely return.

we had booked a double bed but when we sat in our bed it was Sandy like someone had gone to the beach and the staff didn't change the sheets. We called to complain and they upgraded us to a king bedroom with fireplace. That was a nice gesture and made the trip worthwhile. The room was clean and the decor was nice. We would come back again.

Although the staff was very friendly and helpful, the place was otherwise. We paid for a great king size room with a fireplace, which it was given to us, but it was a room set up for handicap people. The bathroom was not very clean and the shower curtain didn't reach the floor, which left a lot of water out when taking a shower, leaving the tile floor very wet and slippery. The worst thing about the room, was the BED BUGS! I was bitten a lot of times all over my legs and arms. Which I am still getting over the itching and discomfort of those BUGS. I don't know if they are aware of how bad the place is infested, but they should do a really good cleaning of it, before renting any other room. MB

My mom and I only stayed one night, but we really enjoyed staying at the Mariposa. We had a double queen room with fireplace and balcony that was very modern and clean. The front desk worker was pleasant. He helped us make a best POA for the night and next day and even gave us a coupon for free appetizer at a restaurant. Our only complaint was the continental breakfast was slightly picked over by the time we got there at 9am.

Great value hotel right off highway 1. Conveniently located off the highway and close to Monterey, Pebble Beach, and Carmel. Not much to look at from the outside, but it had a nice pool and hot tub, heat lamps and fire pits on patio, and a fireplace in our room all for a good price. Room was comfortable and bathroom was decent. We had a little trouble with the hot water in the shower, but not too bad. Overall good hotel, easy to get in and out, and very reasonable.

It was so so. I expected more from the pictures. Everything was good from the cleanliness and amenities, but not for the price. There were other motels closer like Motel 6 that would have been cheaper. Overall ok but not luxury.

this was a very nice place. Everything was clean and very modern. The only down side was that street traffic at night (sirens!) very loud.

It was ok for the price, more like a motel than hotel. Shower was dirty with mold in the drain, wearing sandles in the shower is a must! Loud since its near a main St! Free continental breakfast nice! Staff was ok not very friendly.

Its a nice place but walls are very thin! Sounds like the people in the room next to use were right in our bathroom. You can hear the doors slamming everywhere and I'm not that light of a sleeper.

Hotel rooms were beautifully appointed and beds super comfy.
