Monterey inn offers spacious rooms, free breakfast and afternoon snacks
Located in the heart of downtown Monterey, the Colton Inn is surrounded by historic adobe structures and lies within minutes of the top city attractions, including Fisherman's Wharf, Cannery Row and the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Half a mile from the Colton Inn, the Monterey Conference Center is the premier convention and meeting space in the area. Spacious Colton Inn guest rooms are recently refreshed with down comforters and 400-thread-count sheets. A dry sauna, a sun deck and a gas grill are also available.
Many guest rooms feature a fireplace
Free breakfast and afternoon snacks
Within walking distance of Fisherman's Wharf
Just a few minutes from the Colton Inn, Fisherman's Wharf Monterey serves as a central hub of social activity in this bayside city. Originally built in 1870, the wharf was at the heart of the commercial fishing industry in the area for decades. Today, Fisherman's Wharf plays host to restaurants, fishing, live theater, souvenir shops and folks who just like to take in the view.
Central Coast sunshine spills into Colton Inn guest rooms, many of which feature balconies, fireplaces, whirlpool tubs, microwave ovens or refrigerators. Choose one king or two queen-sized beds. Free Wi-Fi Internet access, cable television, DVD/VHS players and a library of free movies are also provided. Coffee-makers available upon request.
Complimentary continental breakfast is served daily from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Enjoy complimentary afternoon snacks on the sun deck.
For dinner, numerous fantastic options lie within a few minutes of the Colton Inn. The Crown and Anchor is a Monterey favorite. The menu and the decor evoke the British Isles instead of the Central Coast of California -- try the fish and chips, or steak and mushroom pie. But with food this good, and an everyone-is-welcome attitude, The Crown and Anchor is one that cannot be missed.

It was terrific 2 day stay best ever. All the staff, from Manager to maids were tops. Breakfast's were excellent, large variety of good food. I will, without doubt, return to the Tracy Hampton Inn when in this area.
They have the best wifi during my 1 week trip to North California. The staff is super nice and you can help yourself on the free fruits they prepare for the guests every day. The continental breakfast is good, and the room is very clean. Besides,
the location is wonderful, you can walk to anywhere you want. Overall, good hotel.
This place is awful..cold heater took 12 hours to warm room...By that time I had to check out...they would not give us 20 minutes extra in the room..first excuse was a customer was waiting for room..then the help waa scheduled improperly.
NOT recommend this.
Everything about the Inn met or exceeded expectations: room was nice (even had a fireplace!), typical continental breakfast, short drive from downtown... But they were recently having trouble with reservations from this booking site. There were 3
cases of this booking site not communicating reservations with the Inn the weekend I was there. The issue was resolved for my case, but you may want to call the Colton Inn ahead of time if you reserve through This booking site.
The hotel and staff were both very pleasant however we went during a heat wave and the hotel room had no air conditioner and we were on the 3rd floor so it was less than ideal for our romantic getaway. We would definitely stay there again in the
winter! Its within walking distance of shops and restaurants.
Pleasant and obliging staff, spacious room with balcony and seating which overlooked woodland. Good breakfast and plentiful. Sad we could only stay for one night as the Colton is a lovely hotel and Monterey is a beautiful town.
The Colton Inn is a great launching pad for an active weekend in the Monterey area. You are within walking distance to the things that count, the aquarium, food, the waterfront and piers and the great walking and biking path.
The room is
comfortable, quiet and relaxing. Bedding is clean, but bring your own pillow
