Great value!

We were shocked at how nice the room was for the price. It's super close to Downtown/Cannery Row.... See full review

Highlights
  • Esteban restaurant and lounge serves breakfast and a tapas-style dinner menu daily
  • Sano Spa offers massage and body treatments and an outdoor spa garden
  • Complimentary self parking
  • Outdoor heated pool
  • Exterior corridor hotel built around a 19th century residence

Anniversary weekend

Our stay was nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had to change weekends and then change it back due to childcare issues and the staff made it happen without a problem. It is clean. And spacious. Outside noise is a little loud from the street, but nothing you cant ignore. Easily within walking distance to downtown and cannery row. We have stayed many places in Monterey and would stay here again.

Good weekend away

We stayed two nights--didn't use the spa or restaurant, but it was a nice room. Comfortable bed, relatively quiet, and the fireplace was a favorite of my girlfriend.

The small cafe behind Denny's is across the street from the hotel and make a big, fresh breakfast.

Location and a Spa!

Finally decided to try Casa Munras for this trip. Treated the wife and I to a couples massage at their spa and walked to Resteraunt 1833 for dinner afterwards. Earlier in the day we picked up two bikes from the concierge and rode them to the wharf, cannery row & Lover's Point in Pacific Grove. Location was excellent, as we walked to favorite and new spots downtown. Room was fairly basic, but nice. Only real complaint is the noise both nights we stayed. Lots of other visitors coming in at all hours.

Beautiful hotel, no AC!

Charming place, great staff, delicious food...but the rooms were old and did not have AC that we could find. In fact, the vents were blowing warm air, and we were there in July. We slept with windows open which felt very exposed on the first floor. When we were leaving, we found a big fan they had provided in the closet, but it was too late.

They do have that pool. . .

Nice staff, average accommodations, although the "cozy queen" room is very small. Not great food (we ate breakfast there, and it's better at Denny's, across the street). But they do have a great pool, with warm water. Given how vey cold it is in Monterey, it was nice to get in, at the end of the day.

Great cozy resort

Staff was very nice. A company whose name rhymes with SCHMORBITZ DIDN'T SEND OUR RESERVATION OVER, so Marissa at the front desk had to move some rooms around. She sent up a free bottle of champagne and was very helpful. Pool was decent, and the bed was nice and soft. The patio area was nice too. Fire pit, etc. We got some mojitos but they were terrible. Otherwise the place was great.!
