A little pricey for the whole package.
Room was tiny but it had a wonderful feather bed and a 40" flat screen but a mini refrigerator should be standard when you pay that much, I under stand Hotel 6 has them. The food at Esteban's was fantastic however I was brought the wrong drinks and the wrong food so their serving protocol needs to be looked at.

Good and quiet stop
Conveniently located near the wharf, shops and restaurants. The place was very quiet (off season might have contributed to it). We recognized the historial aspect of the hotel andenjoyed watching the video provided by the hotel.

Good and quiet stop.
Conveniently located near the Wharf, restaurant and shops. Much is within walking distance. Hotel is clean and quiet (off season contributes to it, we are sure). Staff is friendly and effiecient. Room is plain but adequate and clean. Liked their soap.

Family trip
The staff was really friendly when we checked in and out. Our room was comfortable and the location was great. Parking was a little crazy and we had to park pretty far from our room on Saturday night but the other days parking was fine. Overall we had a good stay and will definitely be back soon.

"Mom and pop feel with an upgraded look"
Casa Munras is a short drive from Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row. It's also walking distance to Alvarado St, which has a lot of bars and small restaurants to check out. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Amenities were nice with a pool, fitness center, spa, and upscale casual restaurant on the premises. The unfortunate thing was that we came back to our room on the second day of our stay to find our bathtub was left with dirt inside. (Hence the 2 star rating on cleanliness). Not sure how it got there. We informed the front desk about this and they sent someone to clean the tub right away. In addition to this, the hotel manager offered a credit to their restaurant onsite. Kudos to the staff who are very attentive, listened, and took immediate action to make it right- hence the 4 star rating on staff. Overall, I would return to Casa Munras again, and would definitely recommend it to other to stay.

My favorite place to stay in Monterey Bay
I go to Monterey Bay at least once a year. This is the 2nd time I've stayed at Casa Munras and will book again for all future trips. The entire hotel is inspired from an old Spanish hacienda. Each room as it's own separate entrance, so it feels homey and loading/unloading luggage from the car is a breeze. We got the King size bed with fireplace. The fireplace is gas and cute, but it really doesn't make a difference with heat. Overall, hotel is very clean and well kept. The staff is friendliest and most helpful people! They are eager to make your stay enjoyable. It's just nice to be around genuinely nice people on a get-away trip.

Casa Munras Monterey
This was a family vacation (2 adults and 2 kids). The room was clean, quiet, and the beds were very comfortable, a rarity in hotels. The staff was super friendly. They have a small library with books and DVD's, complimentary "Spanish coffee" and a very nice lounge. The location couldn't be better. It was close to the wharf (10 mins walking) and plenty of restaurants.

Good Value Boutique
My partner and I stayed here 3 nights. We generally stay at boutique hotels that are a step up from your average hotels. Casa Munras met our needs and provided good value with the Cozy Queen room. The bed was very comfortable with down pillowtop and comfy pillows. The bathroom was spacious with thick fluffy towels. We wanted extra pillows, towels, and hangers which the hotel staff accommodated. Our room didn't have a safe nor A/C, though there was heat and a ceiling fan. Our heater didn't work when we tried it but the staff was very helpful and able to fix it while we were out for the day. The walls were somewhat thin so i could hear people in the hallways and in their rooms if they were being loud. There was lack of ventilation fan and extra towel racks in the bathroom. The location was great for us as it was walkable to shopping and restaurants. (Tip: try Restaurant 1833 around the corner, it's amazingly good fine dining and cocktails) We liked the free self parking, since we had a rental car with us. The hotel's location is very central for quick drives Pacific Grove or Aquarium/Cannery Row, and also for longer trips to Carmel or Big Sur. All in all Casa Munras is a great value. If you are looking for a less expensive boutique-style hotel, then Casa Munras fits the bill as long as your expectations aren't too high.

Restaurant 1833 is an amazing, new restaurant located close to Casa Munras. Avoid the expensive tourist trap places near the wharf. Restaurant 1833 is probably in similar price range, but the quality is so much better! The atmosphere, food and cocktails were all breathtaking. They have a great bar too if you are just into grabbing some delicious cocktails. There is wonderful outdoor area with gas firepits. We went for dinner and cocktails our first night and loved it so much that we came back for drinks and dessert by the firepits on our last night.
