Ramada Modesto

Supposedly, they are renovating the place, but the old room was not good. Thankfully, they refunded money, so we got a refund. Smoke detector was missing, floors worst I've ever seen and overall just bad. This website missed the rating on this one.

Checked in at the front counter, went to our room, and our key/card did not open the door. Curiously enough the hotel associate that checked us in shows up and asks if our key is opening the door. She tries her key/card and it too does not work. She then tells us its their only handicap room so she she is going to refund the cost of the room and wee can try to get a room at the Comfort Inn next door. We were stuck in Modesto and after many calls found a room at a much better hotel. This experience was unfortunate.

I read the other reviews before staying at the hotel so I had no high expectations of what my room would be like. It was clean, smoke free and had lots of hot water. We did have trouble with being able to open our doors with the key but the manager (who was very friendly and kind) came right away and opened the door for us. I felt safe and did not hear any out side noise. Most likely next time we go to Modesto we will stay there again.

Staff and personnel are great and very friendly. The maid was wonderful

going through a remodel. and they needed it. room needed a remodel. ok for the price . room was ok , breakfast was good , hot waffles good.

We stayed one night before going to Yosemite N.P. Hotel is nice, room is good, nice breakfast.

Hotel is situated in good location, room is average size. Good for the money paid. Would stay here again.

I have never felt compelled to review a motel before but after our stay here, I need to speak out. Checked in this afternoon and the place did not look like the pictures on line. We reserved a "2 Queen Room" but were given a room with 2 full beds. The front desk clerk argued that all their rooms had queens. She gave me another room which also had 2 queens and was horribly dirty and stinky. The 3rd room we were given had queens but again was very dirty. I hate to take my shoes off because the carpet is so dirty. The toilet is cracked, light bulbs are burned out. Yes we only paid $58 plus tax, but I'm not sure it was worth it.

Grounds were unkempt. Pool closed by city but staff still allowed entry but the pool was filthy and should not have been used. Room was clean and quiet but surrounding area was noisy with police sirens. Not the best area of town.

Well the appearance of the hotel was pleasing, but once we got to our room. OMG room was horrible, carpet was supper extremely dirty. The bed had no comforter. It was 12:30 midnight we were all very tired and had no energy to leave and look for another place. I wished I could have ck inn earlier to have made the change on not staying here. Next morning we wanted to shower there was no shampoo no soap in the bathroom called for room service customer service was nice but had to wait because house keeping wasn't in yet. If I have to travel to Modesto will not stay at this hotel no even if the price its good it's just not worth staying at a place where you cant enjoy and relax.
