It's really a recycled motel
The staff were friendly and tried to please. The continental breakfast was okay, but the juice machine was out of order with no attempt to provide juice. The room was clean and well-equipped -- coffeemaker, microwave, refrigerator, working TV and DVD player. I'd stay again if I had to. A definite minus: It's right on Hwy 99 and the traffic is pretty loud even at 3-4 in the morning. I was surprised that a Howard Johnson's wasn't one of those newer express hotels. But I don't really mind old motels because parking right in front of the room is always convenient. Oh: good Internet WiFi.

Not the best neighborhood. Go into Modesto for dinner or a night out.

A fine business stay
I felt that it was a nice place to stay. The room was clean and everything in it worked fine. The staff is couritous and the continental breakfast was good. It is very close to the freeway. I could hear it from inside my room. It did not bother me, but you may want to ask for a room in the back if that would bother you. There is a Denny's nearby as well as other places to eat. I would stay there again.

Ceres weekend
Great location-Great Price
The room was VERY clean and beds were very comfortable. Air conditioner worked great...and in 98+ temp, that is a really GOOD thing. The room was clean: my oldest is allergic to everything and has asthma and she could visit me without difficulty breathing! ....that is a true test to the cleanliness of the hotel. I would deffinitely stay there again!

Everything was about 1000 yds away. Gas, food, shopping, coffee, interstate! Excellent! The section on this survey, 'Satisfaction Survey' does not tell me what radio button is for satisfaction or what radio button is for dissatisfaction.

Not A good experience
Did NOT like the experience! Walked in the lobby to check in and my boyfriend and I didn't get smiles instead UNWELCOMING look's from the staff and it smelled like we jst walked into a resturant with the smell of curry,chili, some kind of indian spices, not professional! The size of the room and was one of the smallest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in, Would not want to go back to another Howard Johnson because of the experience at this one!

Felt Safe
For traveling alone it was well lite. Nice large room, table 2 chairs, nice having a fridge and mircrowave, enjoyed the wireless conection. Near restaurants and shopping.
