5-star hotel with some glitches

This is a great hotel, but it is a bit out of the way on the west end of Sand Hill Road. When we arrived (around 3pm) there were dirty dishes in our portico - probably from the other room but dishes were on our side as well. Then we didn't have any hot water in the shower and we didn't get turn-down service. These are all little things that I feel true 5-star hotels do not miss.

Fantastic Girls Getway

Girls weekend away. We live in the city so it was a short drive. However it felt like we were in paradise! The service was fantastic from the moment we got out of the car. The pool is incredible with great pool side service. The bar at the hotel had great drinks and food. The spa was one of the best I have been to. Just all around delightful. All 3 of us declared we would be back as soon as we possibly could! I highly recommend this hotel!

Hotel Rosewood Menlo Park

The hotel was unable to locate a reservation made. You need to ride in a golf cart to the room but they do not pick you up to go to breakfast or anywhere else. You pay $20 to park your car yourself or $20.00 to valet it so it is ridiculous. Upon checking in the mini bar was empty and half the food and nuts in the drawer were gone and one can was half eaten. I asked for the minibar to be filled and they brought a room service of several sodas and attempted to charge me for the room service fee of $38.00 for sodas. They never filled the mini bar. The walk to the lobby and eat was very long and there are no signs indicating where to go. It was a pretty view but it is really a motel except that you cannot park near your room you have to pay 20 to park and pay for internet and then walk a distance anywhere. Very odd place and very expensive. Not worth it and lobby not airconditioned. Was overcharged and if I had not checked my bill I would have been over charged. They had wrong address of some other guest on my bill. Would recommend another hotel.
