Pleasantly Surprised

Looking at this from the outside, I would not expect much. But going inside the room, I was pleasantly surprised. It was spacious, neat, clean, huge bed, flat screen TV with HBO, large bathroom with tub, just to name a few things i was pleased with. It also felt very warm/welcoming-- came with welcome snacks, and a greeting card/travel magazines. Oh, and did I mention-- a keurig? You can tell it was an old building, but they upgraded the place and did a superb job at it. The staff was consistently friendly. They also have games/videos for rent. The only things lacking are amenities-- after all, it is just a motel/inn. The lobby is nice and cozy but not much there, and their breakfast is a grab-and-go type. Overall, I felt very comfortable and happy here and would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others!

It tried but didn't quite make it

It's clear that the owners are attempting to clean up their hotel, but for the price, we were very disappointed. The room smelled of stale cigarettes and the bed and pillows were really uncomfortable. The kerig was a nice touch, but no creamer. Overall th room was not worth the price.

Not a Luxury Hotel

It's okay... I thought if I spent an extra fifty bucks on a hotel it would be a little more upscale. The rooms are nice - and clean too. But the walls are thin and it looks just like any other chain hotel. The lobby area was cute - and the breakfast was decent - but again nothing out of the ordinary. I guess I'd rather save the money and actually go to a chain hotel.

In town for a wedding

We really enjoyed our stay at Menlo Park Inn - the room was beautiful, clean, bed was comfortable. They graciously provided my boyfriend a toothbrush as he had left his at home, and while they neglected a few things (like water bottles in our rooms), they quickly replaced them without a problem. They provide a lot of extras like cable and eye masks for sleeping, and breakfast was good (and included!). Very good place for the money, I would come back!
