Great location

We had one problem with this experience. The TV was not working and we had to have someone come and fix it and help move the furniture etc., in order to get it fixed. We found the room to be a little dirty/dusty due to recent construction in the room.

DIRTY!

My husband and I stayed here when we had an appointment at Standford Medical. First, the parking was a nightmare. Parking is under the hotel, tight and extremely low ceiling. Then when we made our way up to our room (via an old, scary elevator), we tried to unlock our door. After FINALLY getting in, we could not get the door to properly shut and lock. My husband had to slam the door repeatedly to finally get it to shut. Our toddler ran around the room in his bare feet. When we sat down on the bed a few minutes later, we noticed the bottom of his feet were black with dirt! The carpet was so filthy, it blackened our socks. When I sat down on the bed (I weigh 110lbs) it broke on one side. We were too tired and had paid a fortune so we tried to tough it out through the night. Traffic was loud, and obnoxious. The next morning, my two year old was playing on the bed (the floor was too dirty) and reached into the blanket and picked something up saying "what's this?". When my husband held out his hand, my toddler handed him a human tooth. (Not one of ours). When we complained about everything we had endured and about the tooth, the only thing management was willing to do was give us a discount of $50.00 on our next night's stay. We had been booked for two nights. Needless to say we checked out. DO NOT STAY HERE, unless you don't mind other people's teeth in your bed and a dirty room.

Sad Tale of Two Cities - one not so good

This is a Stay Away motel! My spouse and I stayed at the Best Western "Rivera" (a joke) while he was to visit the Stanford med Center. This "hotel" is hardly that! It is located on El Camino Real highway - the noise day and especially at night is deafening. when asked to be moved to a quieter room, we were moved merely up a level to the 3rd floor to a smaller room with a double bed (they said Queen size - a lie)! and just as noisy. The so-called breakfast (included) was the hardboiled egg type with weak coffee, and cereal and make your own waffles, in the tiny entrance lobby with only room for one family. We had to go outside to eat. The rug in the tiny elevator was filthy. When asked for a discount in the smaller room with one small bed, we were told all rates were the same except for two-bed rooms which were $10 higher. And this was expensive! We would NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN!

A model for work ethic of the staff

The staff was overly qualified and friendly. They were able to fill all my needs and actually moved my luggage from one room to another when I changed from a single to a double bed.Going out of their way endeared me to this hotel and I shall stay there on my next visit to California.

Great Stay, for Great Price

Was attending a conference in Sand Hill Road. Stayed here because it was much cheaper than the fancy hotel hosting the conference. I had a great stay. The room has everything I needed and the people at the front desk were extremely nice and got me the things I requested (shaving cream etc.) She even called a cab for me at 5 am. I also walked to Stanford to take a little tour and walked into the strip in Palo Alto from the hotel. Would definitely stay again.

BW Review

I've stayed here twice now to attend appointments at Stanford Medical Center. This hotel is conveniently located, clean, the staff polite and the spa & pool are tidy & enjoyable. Although on a main road, it was very quiet and everything in the room worked.
