Trash bin overflowing.

The room was great. The only complaint was that the trash bin that was located in the parking lot close to our room was overflowing.

Good Option for Yosemite area

Hotel was okay, best part of the stay was breakfast. Rooms were small, though not much time spent in the room. Located conviniently near Yosemite. Go for it if you want a cheaper get away.

February Yosemit Trip

one of the nearest and most affordable place to stay at when visiting the Yosemite national park. It was actually our second time staying here. From the last time I was here, all rooms are renovated, from fresh wall paint, headboards to flat screen TVs. Nobody can beat the price.

Gateway to Yosemite

We were on a 10 trip to the southwest and had been driving up from Sequoia National Forest. After getting off of Cal 99 we drove some very curvy roads that finally dropped us into Mariposa. The Best Western was comfortable and had one of the best breakfasts we encountered on our trip. It is a good 45 minutes into Yosemite but it is nice to have a town to come back to for variety and a change of pace.

4 stars (relative to its peers in Mariposa)

I rated it four stars against its peers in Mariposa. Otherwise, it's three stars when compared nationwide. It's exactly what you'd expect from a mid-range franchise motel. Be realistic: one shouldn't expect high-end here. Nothing bad, nothing great. It was clean, comfortable, and I felt safe. This is not a "suite" so don't expect a kitchenette. It's right next to Highway 140 so I was concerned about road noise, but I was placed in a back unit; road noise wasn't a problem.

Great hotel

Great hotel in pretty downtown Mariposa, right on the creek. Hotel was undergoing a partial remodel during our stay, however our room was very comfortable and clean. And the complimentary extended continental breakfast was nice too...as was the hotel staff.

Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.

I recently spent a terrible night at the Best Western in Mariposa. The staff was rude and dismissive. I met the owner and he was very rude and angry. The room had a distinct musty, moldy smell. The towels and sheets were very old and uncomfortable, as was the very lumpy bed. The other occupants were audible through the walls. The only good thing I can say about this hotel is that it in the very adorable city of Mariposa. Other than the employees and owner of this hotel the people in Mariposa are lovely and the town is a gem.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Eat at Savory's just up the road. It is very reasonably priced, the food was great and the staff was very nice. After roughing it for a few days in Yosemite, you will enjoy the suprisingly upscale atmosphere and cuisine.
