Marina del Rey Marriott

The good: Great location, great lobby, clean, tidy hotel. The bad: Nothing really, if "good enough" is good for you. The ugly: Charging $12.95/day for Internet. No coffee maker, no fridge in room. Some staff are good and helpful, others rather indifferent. Come on Marriott, you can do much better than this. If the Jamaica Bay Inn down the street offers free wifi why can't you? You risk ticking off your clients, who may just prefer to stay elsewhere rather than pay for Internet. In case you haven't heard, this is the 21st century....

Standard Marriott - good, clean rooms, good location. Parking is valet only, $28/day. - expensive and annoying in LA where you need the car for everything. No snack vending in room, and you may have to ask for a refrigerator. Restaurant tiny with little choice, with nothing else in easy walking distance.

We got married in the Marina and chose this hotel for our wedding night. We loved it. Very comfortable, clean, and we had an awesome view of the water. Definitely worth it.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was courteous and very informative. We would recommend the Marriott Marina Del Rey to those seeking a four star hotel.

Don't get Jr. Suite...master room had no window and low ceiling. The air condition vent was only in the living room. It was stuffy and hot. I will not stay in the Jr. Suite again.

Hi. This Marriott is working it with some recent rennovations and upgrades. Very nice. Staff is superior: Kind, informative, helpful. Feels like they are, perhaps, underpaid. Hotel charged extras for EVERYTHING. Movies were $18.00; parking per day $36.00 (pretty crazy I think, but no alternatives); Internet $9.00 per day (come on! that is the most ridiculoous). I had a prepaid stay and walked away with almost $200 in incidentals for a 5 day stay. There was one modest roomservice dinner in there (salad and fried squid). NONEtheless...it truly has location location location. The perfect spot adjacent to Venice and Santa Monica, just two blocks from the Venice pier. Many great restaurants within walking distance. Many great bike rental and walking places nearby. I love Venice. The bar with fireplaces is also quite lovely at night to hang out...I didn't do that this time, but have socially with friends in the past. The staff was pretty wonderful.

We had a great stay here. Rooms lovely with very good views of harbour & beach. Great coffee shop round corner called Joni's on Washington. Would recommend.

Stayed at the hotel for the weekend with my husband as a relaxing time together. And it was just that, loved how they have an indoor and outdoor lounge area. The outdoor was very nice and romantic had fireplaces, bar, lounge seating, and waiters coming up to you promptly refilling your drinks and also ready to take food orders. Than a little walk from there is a nice spa area to relax in, and if you want to leave the hotel for any reason the beach is right across the street and if you're looking for something to eat cheesecake factory is just up the street as well. My husband and I walked there and enjoyed the beach view as we did. Would definitely stay here again.

My family and I stay at this hotel often. The staff is always courteous and helpful, and if there is a problem they deal with it. It's safe, comfortable and the people are friendly. If you are in a hurry, take your own bag to your room. It's not the Ritz but it is the Marriott - reliable, affordable and clean.
