Haven't touched it in 450 years
Stayed there for 1974 World Series. Great location especially marina view. But they have done nothing to it. Curtains look like mice at at them. Carpets are filthy. Felt like a tenement.

Good 2 Night stay
This was the last City to visit from 3 weeks trip. The Hotel has a very convenient location if you want to visit Venice, Santa Monica... Located direct at the Marina it is quiet and you can enjoy some nice hours at the pool. The hotel is obviously aged but it has some nice charme, the hotel restaurant is absolutly ok and had the best prices off all hotels I visited, the staff is extremly friendly, only the rooms Need some remodelling!! Overall for 2 nights before you leave town or As a starting Point I would recommend it.

I really enjoyed my time there.My only complaint is the payed preview movies were unavailable at the time and would of like to have known that.But Id stay there again.

Wonderful location
The location is wonderful. The staff is excellent. The room was very clean and nice. The building is older and could use renovation but it is maintained very nicely for it being older. I had a first floor room with patio overlooking the marina. The table and chairs on the patio could be updated but they were cleaned everyday by staff which was nice to see. Its a wonderful find for the money. I would definitely go back. Corporate offices should spend some money on freshing up this location up its a gem.

Woud never go back!
Required $50 bond, credit card wouldn't work and they wouldn't take cash. Room was very dated, TV had bad reception. Noising floor boards on floor above. Requested late check out they said it shouldn't be a problem but you would have to ring up in the morning and sort it out. When I rung up in the morning they were not willing to help at all, I was 90minutes late checking out so they charged me $50!

Hotel closed to airport, Santa Monica, Venice Beach. The hotel needs serious maintenance. It would be nice if breakfast is included in the night rate.
