It was perfect!

I enjoyed the time i stayed there and the staff was really helpful. Rooms were clean and the breakfast was great. The only problem was transportation but if you use the tour shuttles for transportation, everything works perfect.

I can't wait to go back!

Our wonderful stay started out with the front desk person. He was so nice and welcoming. He let us know about all the things the Inn had to offer, surrounding attractions and provided us with a map of the area. Our room was very nice. Comfy bed with fluffy pillows and crisp white sheets. Nice sized bathroom with plenty of light and great water pressure. The room also contained a flat screen TV, microwave, mini 'fridge and plenty of storage and seating. The wireless internet was easy to connect to. But the best part was the view and the wind coming off the Marina. The weather was perfect; clear skys, cool temps, and a steady breeze. There is a walking path right outside the Inn, which gave us plenty of people watching opportunities from our balcony! Our room was right by the desk and we were worried about noise, but it wasn't noisy at all. There were some concerns voiced in other reviews about the "liquor store" next door. It is more of a convenience store and had a wide variety of sandwiches, fruit, snacks, and beverages. The breakfast provided was far better than most, and it was nice to take to the room to enjoy on the balcony. My husband and I had a very enjoyable stay and can't wait to come back. One night wasn't enough and we will book for at least two nights in the future.

Nice view over the harbour, good

Nice view over the harbour, good breakfast and we enjoyed the free movies, but the room was small and worn. The beds were terribly short (!), both my man and I had our feet in the air the entire night and the bedlinen was worn to death. The location was ok for our last night and close to the airport, but for visiting LA I would recommend something closer to The Strip (or the beach if thats what you want, but this is a bit off).

Great Thanksgiving Holiday!

This hotel is right at Marina del Rey. Our room had a nice balcony overlooking the marina itself. It was a little noisy one night and early one morning, but overall the hotel is quiet. The rooms are small, but the beds were very comfortable and the balcony was a great place to have a coffee or a drink and watch people on the beach playing volleyball or boating. The breakfast was a surprising perk. Hard boiled eggs, huge muffins, a wide selection of cereals, juices, bagels and coffee were plentiful and fresh every day. We stayed 6 days and never grew tired of the breakfast. The hotel is next door to the cheesecake factory. It takes less than 20 minutes to walk to the Venice Beach boardwalk or pier. There are lots of nice places to eat at or to shop at within a 10-minute walk. Access to the freeways was easy and it only took 15 minutes to get to LAX. There is a nice walk along the grand canal that is definitely worth taking. The staff was very helpful, and there was always someone available at the desk. There is a nice library of free DVDs and a nice flat screen in every room. Our room also had a small refrig and microwave. Three adults shared two queen beds. The bathroom was a little small, but overall we would definitely stay on a future visit.

Wish We Hadn't Stayed

It was by far the worst place we stayed in our 10 nights in California. It shares a parking lot with a liquor store. It was near dirty stores with dirty people. Forty years ago, I was a hippie. What the employees called "Bohemian", I called derelict. Both the night and day Front Desk person seemd bothered if I asked a question which took them away from their personal business on the PC (maybe undergrads doing homework). The pillow on the bed was pathetic. The cream curdled the coffee, which may have improved it as I think it brewed all night.

Exellent views and great service

I went with my girlfriend for a romantic quiet getaway on her birthday, and this quaint two story inn turned out to be a perfect spot. The room was a little small but that didn't matter because we spent most of the time enjoying the great view through the windows and from the patio. I have spent a lot more money in the past at hotels that dont even compare to the expiriance of this stay. I suggest a bay view room (of course) on the second floor

Unbeatable location

Paid the extra for waterfront view and had room right above the beach. Great walks around the marina and handy to shop and restuarant. Although not new the room had a microwave and fridge. We only stayed the one night but enjoyed the stay.

The staff are mostly helpful,

The staff are mostly helpful, though some seem tired and overworked. Perhaps they deal with too many irritating people, perhaps their hours are just too long. They don't smile much and always seem defensive when approached and relieved at the end of a conversation if it doesn't go sour. Too bad. We had a lovely stay, and when someone hit our car in the parking lot, the staff was quick to hold them until we could be called. Breakfast was free and typical of such. The room was cleaned as soon as we put out the request sign. It was overall a very nice stay.
