Impressed with this hotel. Staff was friendly and accomodating. Shared a 2 queen room, had all we needed, frig, coffee pot, flat screen tv with good cable channel selection. Plenty of room to move around. Recommend room on back side of hotel, as
street side is noisey.Continental breakfast is adequate. Good clean hotel with bargain rate for Monterey area.
The hotel is in need of an update and reminded me of the 80's. There were no towels in the room when we arrived. The bathroom was worn and the toilet cistern was so loose we thought it would collapse. Despite a 12 o'clock checkout time the
cleaning staff were knocking on the door at 9.45.

Short walk from hotel
Over the road is a great Italian/American restaurant.
Location OK--we went to Capitola, Santa Cruz, Monterey. Hotel definitely not worth jacked up price on 6/4 and 6/5. Continental breakfast all carbs--minimum of healthy foods available. No yogurt, cheese, oatmeal--no protein available except pnut
butter. Only sad oranges offered as fruit.
Doubtful I would stay here again. One of the worst hotels I have used in the Monterey area in the 10-15 years.

The Shadowbrook restaurant in Capitola was outstanding and I felt had reasonable prices for the quality of food they offered.
The Ramada had a great location and very quiet neighborhood. Lobby and room were very clean and organized. Staff at check-in desk very polite and helpful. I LOVED the waffles during breakfast, something I haven't experienced at other hotels
I've stayed at. Also, the girl working the desk at check-out was absolutely beautiful!
