The Wave Hotel Manhattan Beach

Enjoyed the stay as I simply needed a place to rest and get ready and get out for the day while I was in LA etc. staff were friendly and helpful enough.

I don't get out that often but this place seemed pretty bad to me. The staff was fine but the place is rundown, light fixtures were broken, paint peeling and more than a bit depressing. I didn't avail myself of their services but as a simple crash pad, it was a drag. That being said, it was inexpensive and the location was acceptable.

The staff was friendly if not terribly professional. The price was excellent, although very far away from downtown Manhattan Beach, but close by multiple restaurants, shopping centers and easy freeway access. The room was ok, not particularly clean and the bathroom smelled like stale cigarettes which wasn't pleasant. But the pool was warm and clean, the hot tub was ok, I couldn't find the on timer though. So all in all, good for the price, but not particularly good otherwise. I chose it for the pool and close access to the job site, it hit perfectly on those two and I will stay there again because of that, but for vacation, I might spend a bit more and find a better spot.

The Wave seems to be a new name. The motel is an older motel that has been redone in the not too distant past. Just a few blocks East of the Beach the hotel has standard layout older style motel rooms. Open sink and closet, toilet and tub/shower with a door. My king bed was comfortable. Good wired internet connection, CRT TV with plenty of cable choices. Small fridge. A modest pool at the center of the encircling motel. Pick the time of day according to the season and you will have abundant sunshine. Rooms at the rear and sides are quiet, the front faces busy Sepulveda Boulevard. The door lock on my room required help, the old fashioned pass-card locks need to be replaced. Parking underneath and an elevator to floors 1 and 2. Shopping center 2 minutes away. Ice cream across the street and plenty of food choices in the neighborhood including the nearby Manhattan Beach main street. Breakfast included and more than adequate cold choices. They could use a modern coffee machine that grinds beans. The discount rate made the motel a value for this neighborhood just 10 minutes from LAX and so close to the beach.

We used this hotel to base ourselves out of during our week long stay. While the location was great, and the staff was friendly when we encountered them, the rooms were older and a tad dingy. Not dirty - just need updating.

This hotel is located in Manhattan Beach about 80 minutes of drive from downtown Los Angeles. The room, pool and jacusi quality is good. Personell is very friendly and helpful. Public transportation fron this location is poor.

The hotel stay was great and a clean environment. The pool was clean and the service was great. I would definitely go back to this hotel if I'm in the area.

Close to manhattan beach, within walking dstance. Wify was not working during the first day.

Very nice & quite. The only thing is that's bad there is no store open pass 9 o'clock.

The room would have been perfect if not for the ants on my face cloth. That was the only problem I encountered of any kind. I will stay again next I'm in southern California .
