The Wave Hotel Manhattan Beach

The hotel is located on a main street, but we weren't disturbed with any traffic sounds. The hotel staff was very friendly & helpful re any questions we had. The room was large & clean enough for a family of four and the mini fridge was a huge plus! We didn't expect much for breakfast, but were pleasantly surprised of the selection we received. Fresh mini croissants & pastry, bagels, toast, english muffins, fresh fruit, cereals, oatmeal, milk, hot chocolate, teas, fruit juices & coffees. Everything was constantly refilled, so even late sleepers could enjoy their breakfast!

The staff was extremely accomodating. When we arrived, they were able to give us a room with a refridgerator. The lights in the room were a little funky...some motion sensored stuff. It took us awhile to figure it out! The room decor is older, but the price is right! The breakfast is full of carbs and psuedo-juices, but there was coffee, cereal and bagels so we full at least! The location was great for us! Close to Target to stock up on bottled water and snacks. And we could safely walk to Manhattan Beach Pier in 15 minutes. Close to Interstate 405.

hotel was clean. Pillows were soft and bed very comfortable. Great stores and restaurants all nearby within walking distance. Shuttle service also excellent.i will definitely stay there again when in LA.

First off when we arrived around 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM the front desk staff could not find our reservation. Once they found our reservation, we were told to come back after 3:00 PM and our room would be ready. Once we got to our (up graded room ) we found that we had no fridge or microwave in the room but the room was listed on a chart that said that it was a $300.00 a night room. More like a $59.95 a night room. Each day we usually left the room in the early morning around 7:00 am and returned around 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM to find that our room had not been visited by housekeeping and was still the way we left it at 7:00 AM. Once the housekeeping showed up and changed the sheets and cleaned the room, we were told that they would return later with towels, which was usually a couple hours later. We did see ants in our room a few times, but they were not that much of a problem. On Friday and Saturday we were woke up around 2:00 AM to 3:00 AM both days with loud screetching, from some females who were returning from a night of partying and were drunk. All in all I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We were there for a family vacation and very happy with our stay. Rooms were spacious and clean. Hotel staff was polite except for a mistaken identity issue with another hotel guest. Indoor garage parking was a plus. Breakfast was offered daily however limited to coffee/juice, cereal, bagels, muffins etc. My son enjoyed the pool and hot tub. I booked our entire vacation (flight, hotel and car) through Orbitz for a great price and would definitely do it again.

You get what you pay for. It is nothing special but does the trick for beach city visits when you aren't going to be in the room much.

Staff was friendly. Ants were in my room; told management and they said because of the warm weather they are coming in. Was on the second floor. Because of hurricane Irene couldn't get back to N.J. so had to extend my stay. They could accomodate me with a room on the first floor. The ant problem was worse in this room; up against the bed and eventually came onto my bed. Told management and and they sprayed. Problem solved after a few days.

The size of the room was great. The only problem was the ants that showed towards the end of my trip. I had to sprinkle baby powder around and on the bed to keep them away.

we went here for the 6-man tournament. all hotels closer to the beach were all booked up, but this was still convenient. only 1 mile away from the beach. ample parking space... staff were nice and helpful, clean spacious room that fit my whole group. they have a big enough jacuzz tha twill fit 10 people... they have a sauna as well!! All in all, me and my friends had a great time!

Our room in the Manhattan Beach Hotel was good, clean, and comfortable. Although the refrigerator was not working well, which caused inconvenience. One day it was extremely cold, just like freezer. Another day, after the fix it was very warm, likewise the room temperature. We would have appreciated if the staff would give us some discount for that, or some reimbursement. The pool and the Jacuzzi were very clean and nice to have. Hotel's staff was very friendly. Thank you.
