Nice for the two of us
The Belamar of Manhattan Beach was a perfect get away for my husband and I. Small, and quaint, yet a giant King size bed for romantic fun. The room had everything we needed. Plus, Starbuck's coffee waiting for me in the morning downstairs in the lobby. Perfect!

Best Boutique Hotel in the LAX area
The Belamar is an excellent value for the money as a boutique very upscale hotel in the El Segundo/Manhattan Beach area minutes from LAX. It has all the amenities for the business traveler or vacationing family of a top notch posh LA resort with nice restaurant, well designed rooms, comfortable beds, and excellent staff. It is in walking distance to numerous Rosecrantz Boulevard/ Manhattan Beach Village eateries for all budgets as well as shopping. A definite must stay when in the area.

MOST COMFORTABLE BEDS.
I LOVE THIS HOTEL. COULD NOT WAIT TO GET BACK AFTER STAYING THERE ONCE BEFORE. THE HOTEL IS SVERY NICE AND CLEAN AND THE BEDS ARE AMAZING. FREE HIGH SPEED INTERNET AND VALET, FRIENDLY STAFF. FEELS LIKE A 5 STAR SUPER FANCY HOTEL WITH THE VIBE AND PERKS OF FAMILY INN.

Nice hotel!
I found the hotel to be very clean and up to date. When I called to check the parking situation at the hotel, the desk clerk was great - very warm and friendly. I would stay here again!

There is great shopping and reasonable dining a short distance from the hotel (I suggest driving as it is on a busy intersection). The location is very convenient to LAX airport and the 405.

Overall Nice Stay
We were basically very satisfied with the hotel. The staff was helpful, curteous and friendly. The room was very comfortable and clean. There was hi-speed internet access provided in the room at no charge. The location to Manhattan Beach (which was very enjoyable to visit) was a short ride away and easy to find. The pool area in the hotel was comfortable and there is a lovely courtyard by the pool to relax in. We ate the buffet breakfast at the restaurant on several days and it is a little higher priced than local restaurants but was convenient and had a nice variety of breakfast items. We did not eat at the restaurant for other meals. The hotel seems to cater more to business groups during the week although our teenage daughter still enjoyed the hotel very much. Also, they did not always leave chocolates on the bed (maybe they did not always have them?) and the cookies in the lobby seemed to go very quickly. If you came back to the hotel after 5:00 pm they were likely to be all gone. Finally, the room was not ready one day when we came back in the afternoon - it would have been nicer if time had allowed for it to be cleaned a little earlier. Overall though we enjoyed our stay very much.

Comfortable Experience
Our stay at The Belamar was quite comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located just off the Manhattan Beach coast with easy road access to the beach, commerce, and major thoroughfares. Our Tranquility room provided a comfortable king bed, a desk with internet access, an additional seating area, and large windows overlooking a well maintained courtyard and pool area. The staff provided friendly customer service, good housekeeping, early check in at 2:00 PM, and late check out at 12:00 PM. We also took advantage of their delicious breakfast selections each morning at the on site Vibe Restaurant, in addition to the fruit-infused water offered in the lobby. The overall condition of the hotel was very good, providing most modern amenities. I would have preferred to park our own vehicle, but the size of the hotel and its parking lot made it more practical for the free valet service. I would recommend this venue for any couples considering a stay in the Manhattan Beach area.

The Manhattan Village Mall is right across the street and provides shopping, dining, and theatre options if you need a break from the beach. The mall also features Ralphs - a great choice for all of your supermarket needs.

Great LA Weekend Stay
The Larkspur is a throwback as far as style and service with all the modern amenities. Great value as well in Manhatten Beach. Great service location and price!

Great Rooms
The Belamar Hotel in LA was GREAT. The rooms were very spacious. The modern decor and wall colors were very relaxing and elegant. Also the bed was very comfortable with great linens. I also appreciated the desk area with free internet. The room also boasted a spacious closet, ironing board/iron, and hairdryer...very nice for those of us who spend several nights there. I loved the pool area...it was very spa-like! Also the hotel is located in a good area...it is only a 10 minute cab ride from LAX, a two block walk from shopping areas, and one mile from the beach and great restaurants. Overall, a great hotel.

felt secure traveling alone
The decor was fun. The beds were very comfortable with high quality bedding. Magazines in the room were a nice touch. The pool, patio, restaurant, bar, and lobby added great places to relax when I was not sightseeing. Being able to walk to the mall was convenient. One inconvenience was that the pool area and bar was not available one day due to a wedding. I was traveling alone so feeling safe was important to me. The staff was very helpful.
