Though the accommodations were good, I don't think this hotel was really worth the price. In addition to the steep rate, they also charged an extra $25 a day, which I didn't consider when choosing the hotel. Our room smelled like rubber,
probably from the recent tar on the roof. Also, the view from our window was disappointing.
The pool jazzui did not work
Given a handicap room
refrigerator ran all the time
no exhaust fan in bath room
They always had a reason for every problem
Shower water ran over the whole bathroom
dirty spare blanket
Room was very comfortable. Was unable to find staff most of the time at the front to give advice regarding area activities, etc. Sounds petty, but towels could have been softer. But very good experience overall.
It was convenient to Village. It is a very dog-friendly hotel, greta for those who like to travel with their dogs, but terrible for people like me who have really bad allergies to dogs. I wish that fact had been included in the description of
the hotel. I would have booked elsewhere.
Staff was so nice and accommodating! Ski drop off was on site, easy and convenient. Wouldn't t count in using the pool or jacuzzi, it was jam-packed with families and only one hot tub had jets working.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Pick up your rentals at the hotel and drop them off at any other location on the mountain or in town.
Stopped by for one night on a motorcycle trip through the Eastern Sierras. Great location, hardly anyone around which made it very relaxing. Room was big, with kitchen, fireplace and super clean! Will be back!
Friendly service, clean hotel (most important). However, that RESORT fee can kill you at the end, overall, one of the best. The only thing I would change is if you can discount the fee to those who don't use the internet, PLEASE.
