My review of The Westin Monache Resort, Mammoth
The Westin is centrally located for Mammoth skiing and the rooms are lovely. The staff and maintenance could use a little upgrade. They are not as well run as the hotel should be.

restin at the Westin
I read a review written by world travelers that this was the BEST hotel they had ever stayed in. In our opinion it was about the best 4-star hotel experience we could have hoped for in a quiet mountain town. The room had every amenity, the hot spas were spacious and not filled with raucous kids, and the Whitebark restaurant's happy hour is not to be missed. (We highly recommend a couple splitting the salad, set of 3 sliders, fries, and wine/beer.) Paying an additional $20 for a view room was well worth it.

Nice getaway
Even though we were out and about enjoying the outdoors, we really looked forward to coming back to the room to recharge. The "Heavenly Bed" was just that! I have never slept on such a more comfortable bed. Plus, the room was very comfortable and clean.

wonderful family time for all of us
The location was great and there was lots to do for everyone. We would like to go back every year and stay in the same suite...or twice a year if possible and stay a little longer. Next time we will take advantage of the great kitchen and the bar b q area.

luxurious
The hotel was luxurious and nicely decorated. It had a little fireplace and a mini kitchen with all the amenities. Super convenient having the gondola ride to the lifts! The service was pretty good. The restaurant was classy and nicely decorated with a nice view. Food was well presented and delicious. The waiter named [...] was excellent! Only disappointment. No starwood points for booking though anywhere other than hotel directly. Oh, and the room was very arid & no humidifier in room.

Wonderful Hotel!
From the moment I walked in the door, I found every staff member that I came in contact with, to be genuinely awesome! Each employee, no matter what their title, acted as though it was their individual responsibility to see that my stay was top notch. They succeeded!

The Whitebark service staff were awesome and so was the food and drink. Just across the street was a fun little pub called the Dubliner that had live music. Fun atmosphere.

Excellent experience
Location was perfect, rooms were quiet, views were impressive, staff was very curtious. We've stayed at many hotels in Mammoth during the summer but his place was by far the best. Worth the money!

I didn't want to leave
My friend and I were in town for the Mammoth festival of beer and Bluesapalooza, which is alway a great time anyway, but we usually camp. When my friend suggested we stay in a hotel this time, I started researching hotels in the area and prices were a little issue because we were just looking for a place to lay our head at the end of the day. Most of the hotels in the area that were a little cheaper, were not very nice, but only about $20/night cheaper. Well....we got ALOT more than just a place to lay our head! You walk in the room and immediately are wowed by the room. The "kitchenette" is nicer than the kitchen in my home. And the guest service is great! They took great care of us....the only problem I can come up, is that they took such good care of us, we didn't want leave. We also wanted to hang out in the Village and the hotel is right by it, so very convenient location.

Short walk from hotel
It was also very helpful that the hotel had a shuttle to take us to and also pick us up from our event. And the shuttle itself was 4-star!
