Nice, but dated

The hotel provides a complimentary parking place, but it's little bit dated. You feel like in 70s. The radio in my room remembered me my childhood - or even I had a better one.

family gateway

Everything was great but not a breakfast room. We liked the pool and the rooms. It was quiet.

great family hotel in a perfect location for a great price

We stayed at the Shilo for sat night of the labor day weekend 2014. The hotel was easy to find after our long drive. Great facilities, super clean room and friendly, fast and simple check in. more impressive considering they were fully booked, the place is clearly well run. It's great for kids, we have a 7 year old, and has a family atmosphere, nice indoor pool and spa as well. We got a call 30 minutes after unpacking asking if we had everything we needed. A very nice touch that is rarely done these days. The breakfast in the morning was excellent, very much like a Homewood Suites style set up. We will stay here again for sure.

fine place to crash

We needed a place to sleep. That's it. This worked. We could walk and grab dinner, drinks and do a little shopping and then hit the road quick the next day.

Fantastic Experience

Rooms are very spacious w a kitchenette perfect for young families that have to wash baby bottles, etc. My kids loved the indoor pool area. They could use a little update in their fitness equipments and laundry area, but their lobby and individual rooms were so spotless and spacious for my little ones to run around in that these other amenities didn't really matter!

Great stay in Mammoth!

This was our second stay at Shilo Inn in Mammoth Lakes. The hotel staff members are friendly, courteous, & helpful. We booked a last minute room for a three night stay after we canceled our camping reservations due to thunderstorms. The hotel welcomes pets, so we were able to stay with our two dogs. The rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable suites. My son enjoyed the indoor pool & spa. Shilo Inn offers a great continental breakfast. The Inn is within walking distance of parks, hiking areas, shops, restaurants, & shuttles to the slopes!

Overpriced.

Just basic, but kind of overpriced. Room is clean but needs some renovation.

Worst two nights of sleep.

The beds here are like concrete slabs. My wife and I tossed and turned both nights we were here. It was the only place in town that weekend and was $185/night. The free breakfast didn't look all that bad but I spit out the waffle and cardboard Danish and went to mcdonalds next door. After a day on the slopes, we returned to our uncleaned room. Why am I paying for all of this?

Take the free bus to mammoth. Bus stop is a 2 min walk from hotel. Parking at mammoth is horrendous on weekends

Good Basic

Spent 3 nights while day hiking in Yosemite. Clean and comfortable, in a good location on the east edge of town. The front desk staff were a mixed bag of very helpful and completely uninterested. Decent value and good overall stay.
