Inexpensive photographic Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend photographing the Fall Colors of the Eastern Sierras. Our stay at the Juniper Springs Lodge made the trip so enjoyable. Our room was just what we needed after a long day of shooting; comfortable bed and chairs, warm fireplace, and a cozy kitchen. The luxurious decor of the room made it feel more expensive than it was. The price of the room was very reasonable and by having a kitchen to cook in we saved money on our meals. I highly recommend this lodge.

nice location, room needs renovation

Overall stay was great but the room seems used. Room needs renovation. There were wall marks everywhere. The couch and sofa felt really gross. Carpet was worn out. Great location and nice kitchen.

Well appointed room

This will be to the point. Pro: The hotel and room were above average, the service from staff was slightly above average. Great location and activities all around the area for all seasons. Very picturesque location. Con: Juniper Springs Lodge has charged my card twice for the room which was prepaid; I am currently having that issue resolved. (the only con in this visit)

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

It may seem slightly out of place for a Japanese restaurant but go to "Shogun", on "Old Mammoth Road", you will not be disappointed. Try the Saba Shioyaki, fresh and delicious.

Nice location, service needs work, hot, stuffy rooms.

I had stayed here years ago and had a bad experience (very hot room in the Sunstone bldg) but decided to give it another try.Arrived after a long drive and was assigned a groundfloor room overlooking the hotel entrance. I would have slept there but the room reeked of gas, the fireplace pilot was leaking and the hot room made it uninhabitable. The desk agent gave me another room in the dreaded Sunstone and didn't mention the pool was closed, oh well. The room was great with a wonderful view, but again it was extremely hot, no air conditioning or fan. They really need to install some ceiling fans. The worst thing about the room was that the phone didn't work,Won't return.

Great Location, extremely helpful staff

This place is beautiful. The resort was lovely and the staff was beyond friendly. We took a tip in early summer. The location is about a mile or more to any restaurants or shopping but you can be anywhere in mammoth in under 5 minutes. Will be doing this next year!

Great Spring-skiing price & location

Loved the ability to walk out of the hotel and onto the Eagle Express lift, then, at the end of the day, ski back in. Easy covered parking. Reasonably good gym, pool, spas. Good in-room kitchen. They could improve by having a restaurant on site, even if just a small one.

Weekend getaway

We have stayed at Juniper Springs many times and enjoy the cleanliness of the rooms. We love the location...easy to get to town but not stuck in the middle of the crowds. We love the fact that we can ride our mountain bikes, hike, ski (in season) or just relax.

Relaxing mountain retreat

I have to imagine this place is just beautiful in the winter, surrounded by snow. I was there after Labor Day weekend, and the hotel was relaxing and comfortable. There are three hot tubs to be enjoyed, awesome stargazing and hiking in the surrounding mountains, and the kitchenette definitely made it easier.
