One nighter
The room was ordinary, but the bed linen and pillow smelled musty and made having a good nights sleep difficult. The staff were very nice and were very helpful. They provided breakfast items and even the US News, which was a nice treat. Other than the mustiness the stay was okay.

Blah!
This motel was smelly, dingy, dark and overall awful... All in all I don't have very high expectations for budget motels, however this one is not worth staying at. The check in lobby area smelled, the complimentary breakfast was stale, the bed was hard and uncomfortable, the pillows were flat and the comforter was putrid. If you going to stay at a budget motel, book at Motel 6...

Good times and BIG hot tub
Cheap and decently comfy. Soak your bones after a long day on the mountian or walk to johns pizza or mammoth brewing. you get what you pay for so dont go in with big expectations and youll have a blast. I dare you to try and find the ice maker without help!!

Very bad
Room smelled humidity. No hot water. Don't go. We initially booked 2 nights but left after 1 night.

Convenient location
Large room #220 and private. Nothing special but adequate for ski weekend. TV was in and out of color mode but everything else was OK. Not expensive as more upscale resorts and right near shuttle to ski area (Mammoth Mt)Someday site of 500/600 night suites when Mammoth goes Aspen and they tear this place down.

Go there for the skiing and boardin!! Fishing,hiking backpacking,horseback riding and climbing in the spring,summer and fall!The best in the west. Mammoth Lakes,Ca. Lots more to do in town art & music festivals, microbreweries,excellent food,5 star resorts, etc...

Exceeding my low expectations
Lets not beat around the bush - this is an Econo Lodge, and the room was everything you'd expect from a budget chain: a small, dimly lit room, with a hard bed, a very loud window unit and a malfunctioning fridge. Any one who has higher expectations in this price range is kidding themself. However, I was quite pleased with the staff. Even though posted check-in was not until 2:00 PM, our hostess went out of her way to make a room available for us at 10:30 AM, so that we could change into our snow gear and hit the mountain. They were also very helpful in the recovery of a forgotten pillow.

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR
THE LOCATION WAS EXCELLENT, THEY TREATED US WITH RESPECT AND VERY HELPFUL STAFF, HOWEVER THEY SHOULD FIX THE ENTRANCE AND FRONT OF THE HOTEL. THEY SHOULD HAVE A BIGGER SIGN WITH THE HOTEL'S NAME AND AGAIN FIX THE ENTRANCE. OTHER HOTELS NEXT TO IT LOOK MUCH BETTER. WE WENT INSIDE BECAUSE OF OUR RESERVATION ALREADY PAID FOR, IF NOT I WOULD HAVE STAYED AT ANY OTHER PLACE BECAUSE OF HOW BAD IT LOOKS FRON THE STREET. THEY SHOULD ALSO HAVE BETTER BEDS.
