The Westin Los Angeles Airport

the wireless internet was very very slow and the wired network was not working too. i had to call the tech to come and fix it. i was charged 5 times for one day of internet use. i got it fixed though

Everything was great, and the room was nicely appointed. The beds at Westin truly uphold their claim as "heavenly." Was surprised to find that outside noise was non-existent, even as the planes flew right by the windows on the way to and from the airport. My only complaint was the hallway noise. Was disappointed to discover I could hear every footstep in the hallway, not to mention the voices and anything else. I would think that a high-end chain such as Westin, who has done such a wonderful job of blocking outside noise, could do something about the inside noises leaking into their rooms. Even with that, though, it was overall a great experience, and I'd rate Westin in my top 3 hotels. Their service is always impeccable.

i have stayed here twice and had a pleasant visit both times

My father had medication that needed to be refrigerated but there was no icebox in our room. We also wanted a microwave to make instant oatmeal for breakfast to help cut the costs of eating out for every meal but there was none. However, all I had to do was ask and the icebox and microwave were in the room within 15 minutes of checking in!!! Its not only about the fast service but the fact that they seemed like they WANTED to accomodate me! With no hassles... it was great!

I was there for a 1-night layover before flying out of LAX. It's a lovely hotel, with very comfortable rooms, great service + a very nice fitness center (a wide range of workout equipment with plenty of individual TVs, a small locker room, etc.) The main minus is the relatively costly food (but very tasty and room service available 24 hours) and the charges on the hotel phone if you use it for a calling card ($2/call). But I would definitely stay here again, esp. for a business layover.

Got there at midnight with a pre-paid room. Waited for 20 minutes to check-in. Staff is SLOW. When a group of 10 pilots/stewardesses arrived, they stopped checking the "regular" line in until all 10 were checked in. I could not believe it. No need to stay unless you are Airline crew or have all the time in the world to wait.

The price was reasonable. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice it actually was for the money. Its a great locale, about a mile from the airport and a 1/4 mile from the 405.Be prepared for a parking fee of $18 per day. Check in before you park!

The kids and I were there for a funeral service whichwas being held in the city, and all our relatives live in the valley. Our flight did not leave until8:50pm, so the manager ([...]-God bless him.) allowed us an extended check-out. We just happen tobe in the elevator with [...], at the same time.I considered it a blessing.

This is a very good Hotel with very good service and great attention from the concierge staff.

Check-in process was smooth. Staff was helpful and friendly. I signed up for the Preferred program and received discounted parking rate as well as complimentary in-room internet access.
