Super 8 Los Angeles Downtown

this is the second time the wife and I have stayed here. Staff is very friendly and has recommended some good eats as well as order a taxi for us...good attitude, accomodating our requests. Rooms are spacious, clean, and comfy. Its a bit loud with the traffic on Sunset, but not enough to keep you from sleeping. Not a Marriott...but it did the job! We'll stay again!

I chose to stay here because I used to live in the neighborhood and wanted to be close to my old friends and neighbors. The Super 8 is very convenient if you're getting around on public transportation (or driving) and you're planning to spend time downtown, in Elysian Park, Dodger Stadium, Echo Park, or Silver Lake. The room was clean and functional and quiet despite being on a busy street. The wifi was free and decent strength. One downside was that the beverage machine was empty--I was hoping for some non-LA-tap water! I recommend this place for travelers, but at $90 for a single person it's really not an economy hotel as you would think from the name. Three years ago my mom stayed for $60 at the same time of year, which seemed like a pretty good deal. Not sure why prices have gone up so much.

Room was clean and quite, excellent location close to freeway great value

Very dirty carpet - very shady place; the breakfast was served in a room with 2 tables and 4 chairs; very very limited options (eat in the Kellogs cups) only one type of milk, no bread (only bagels) It is a few miles away from downtown & not in downtown as the name suggests

wonderful staff...helped us print tickets for tours...suggested great restaurants we could walk to..felt safe...parking lot easy to use...staff member that set up breakfast was very nice and kept the food areas filled...great experience...would go back again...price was right for what we got..towels were thin..like thicker towels...for the money well worth it..

The motel is very conveniently located: downtown is a few blocks away. Lobby is welcoming and well appointed, the room was well furnished and bathroom was well equipped. Everything was perfectly clean, the staff very pleasant and breakfast was fine.

The walls were very thin and I could hear a crying baby intermittently throughout my stay. People were loud in the halls at 5 am which isn't the hotel's fault but was disturbing nonetheless. The staff was friendly enough. The continental breakfast was meager, to say the least. I had to fix the cable on the TV myself. Also, the floors of the bathroom were not properly cleaned prior to my arrival.

This is the second time I have stayed here. last time I had people on either side and it seemed noisy. This time very quiet. Staff is friendly, breakfast basic but adequate. Room is nice size with fridge and micro. Very comfortable. My daughter lives in LA and I visit frequently. I will be back!!

We had a very pleasant stay,close to public transport and kind of centraly located. Staff is pleasant and rooms are cleaned. pricing reasonable for short stays. would stay again.
