First time at a Hostel. I was only staying one night for work in Brentwood. Located right in downtown, excellent location, very clean, I knew I was going to be sharing a restroom and shower so I didn't mind... Overall great experience...

This place is not worth $50 per night... there's a $20 extra charge if you want a bathroom of your own. The place is dirty! I wouldn't stay there, nor would I recommend this place to anyone.

i HAD A TERRIBLE TIME, WHEN THE MAIDES DID NOT CLEAN MY ROOM, PRIOR TO MY CHECK IN. THERE WAS MOLD ON THE SHOWER WALLS, VENTS, AND SHOWER CURTAIN, BROUGHT TO MANAGEMENTS, CONCERNS, AND THEY DID NOT CARE.

Hotel was exactly what we expected - clean rooms (even though it is a very old building), good service. The only bad thing were shared showers - they stinked. We got a very good deal for what we paid for. Recommended for students and travelers on a budget.

This hostel is pretty good if you're not too picky and looking for something inexpensive. I had a private room with a sink and a queen and had no issues with it other than it being a little cold at night. The community shower that I think most of the floor shares is a little scary, but I think that's typical in most hostels. It's kept pretty clean though. The hostel is in a great location in downtown LA, walking distance to lots of museums, shops, and sights. Overall, I had a good experience here.

I spend 2 day there and it was pleasant, it's located in downtown and there is a lot of places to visit. Mexican food rest in the corner of 7th and Main. You can walk down to 7th/Metro Center.

i would recommend anyone who has a choice never stay here. it is an absolute joke. rooms dont include private baths unless you are willing to pay the extra money and if you do, you might as well stay in a name brand hotel. it is located in a shady part of downtown called skid row. you cannot smoke in the hotel, anywhere, rooms included! if you need to smoke, be prepared to go to the front of the hotel on the street, and contend with homeless and addicts barraging you for money or a smoke or to sell you drugs. the hotel would not allow friends/guests into your room. you can entertain them in the cold caverness lobby. my leather backpack was stolen from my room with about $400. worth of personal posessions. the hotel staff only had access to my room so stay at your own risk. no safes in your room to lock up your valuables. you have to take all your valuables with you or they my be lifted by the housekeeping staff. i would discourage anyone to stay here if you have any choice other than this. its a nightmare from the get go!

arrived near midnite, took a shower and off to bed. next morning a maid tried entering the room at 9am, even though i had put the "Stay away" card on the door. then when i went to the bathroom at about 10am I was unable to enter as my card had been deactivated. I was also not able to return to the room and neither was the person staying across the hall. At least wait until noon(checkout time) to deactivate.

We didn't end up staying at the hotel. There was no air conditioning and we booked a hotel room that wasn't available to us when we checked in

The Staff are so Friendly, we were there for the weekend to a concert at the Staples center. We arrived very early 9am, as check in time is at 3pm, BUT the front desk agent [...], said that it was fine and would check us in with no problems at all. We were excited as we did not want to be carrying our bags, but they also have a storage room which truly helps, But we were checked in with no extra fees. later on we came back down to ask her what can we do in Los Angeles, She was sooo helpful and very friendly. The rooms are small but very stilish and youthful. The STAY colors are Orange and baby blue which are ok I guess. overall Great experience and Best CUSTOMER SERVICE we have ever had.
