Sheraton Gateway
The hotel was fair, but the $24 just to park your car overnight is highway robbery. I can't believe that there is nowhere on site to park your car yourself.... across the street is a parking garage $13 a night! Has the world gone crazy?

Not Impressed AT ALL......
I felt the staff was unfriendly and rushed. I was very disappointed to find that the parking is terribly over priced and far from the hotel. For three days I paid a total of $39.60 for self parking. Valet parking is available and would have cost me $72 for three days. I was also harrassed in the parking lot about checking in. They said if I was not done checking in within 10 minutes then my car would be charged $24 for parking, even though I parked myself and they insisted on taking my keys or not allowing me to check in.

Dissapointed and Frustrated
The first thing I experienced was the offsite parking which cost $13/day. Than when I got to my room, the toilet needed to be flushed. Later as I tried to log on the internet, it was down the entire night. Next day I was able to be log on for a few hours before it was down again for about two more hours, disrupting my work greatly. No thanks, I won't go back to the Sheraton at LAX again.

Traveling to LA for a day visit, and self-parking was blocked off. Valet is expensive $24 a day. Park in the lot next to self-parking, but a bit of a walk; it was cheaper $11.00 a day, rude personnel; He yells a lot, and no in and out privilege, and he try to overcharge me the next day because he thought I stayed 2 days. The hotel room is fine, clean, but no internet access at all, because I got a discount rate. Room service for dining is expensive. On check out, people at counter was not friendly, didn't say thanks at all, just nod their head when I return the key. Definitely wont come back , Sheraton.

Seeping in a sauna
thermostat broke in the middle of the night and was stuck on 85, so aircon was blowing hot air all night - impossible to sleep. Front desk sent up an "engineer" who couldn't fix anything. Hotel would not comp or offer refund.

Bed bugs
I had two problems during my stay at this hotel. 1. I arrived tired and had to wait a long time while hotel personnel checked in people with hotel credentials who arrived after me. 2. I was bitten while I slept two nights in a row by bugs in my bed. I reported the problem. My room was changed. I have not yet heard anything from hotel management, although a promise was made to me that they would be touch. It's now one week later.

Dirty and very noisy
I was put in a hotel room right by the elevators and the very loud ice and soda machine room. When I asked for a change in rooms, I was told the hotel was fully booked. This did not appear to be true as the hallways and hotel did not seem that busy. I returned to my loud room to find that the bathroom was filthy. There was unflushed "stuff" in the toilet and the bathtub had quite a bit of rust on it. I would not return this hotel, especially because there are many other better hotels nearby.

My review of Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles Hotel
I was surprised to see I was given a room with wet carpeting, and no sundries in the bathroom.

Worst Than Expected
When my boyfriend, my sister and I arrived at the hotel, we had the option to pay $24 for valet per day or pay almost $11 a day to park in the lot behind the hotel across the street. You can always parallel park on the road behind the hotel but only two hours at a time and not at all over night, otherwise you will be cited. There are absolutely no parking accommodations for hotel guests. After lugging in 7 days worth of luggage between the three of us, my boyfriend checked us in. Mind you, we had already made reservations for one week and prepaid for our stay. It took the gentlemen about 10 minutes to find a room for us. Our room was fabulous. There were real comforters on the beds not like those paper-thin floral printed covers. The theme was more modern. Very impressive. Traditional room had the flat panel TV. Housecleaning was sloppy. Normally when something is used, it is suppose to be replaced. On multiple occasions, we found ourselves sharing coffee out of only one cup, no sugar and no creamer. Sometimes Wireless internet is offered but you must pay about $10 per day to use it in the convenience of your own room. Or you can use the free WiFi everywhere else in the hotel. To print something, you will be charged to use THEIR computers by paying for THEIR internet fees and then pay for the documents you print on THEIR printer per page. On the fourth day of our stay, we were interested in swimming at their pool. We approached and asked a staff member in the lobby regarding pool hours and after answering our question, the woman stated that the pool was for "hotel guests only". So what were we? On our last day at the Sheraton, we decided to valet the car so that we wouldn't have to struggle with our luggage as we did when we first arrived. After a young lady pulled up to the front with our rental, we began to put our things in the car. There were two valet boys standing approximately 5 feet away from us and another older valet gentlemen standing next to us and they stayed right where they were. Although we didn't need any help, no one bothered to offer any assistance. They chatted amongst themselves and paid no mind as if they were the hotel guests and we were the help. For the last two days of our vacation, we chose to stay at a Best Western MOTEL. They offered free WiFi, free printing, free parking ONSITE and they even had a mini refrigerator and a microwave where the Sheraton did not.
