OMG!
The hotel was beautiful and the staff was very nice. The prices for everything were ridiculous. I thought we got a good deal on the price ($114 for 1 night) BUT there's parking, tipping the valet, $17.95 to rent a movie, room service was over $50 for a hamburger and a grilled cheese sandwich, etc etc etc. Sorry in these times we can't afford a stay like this.

Seeping in a sauna
thermostat broke in the middle of the night and was stuck on 85, so aircon was blowing hot air all night - impossible to sleep. Front desk sent up an "engineer" who couldn't fix anything. Hotel would not comp or offer refund.

Great Hotel
The hotel had excellent facilities. We appreciated the fitness center, pool, and hot tub. The room was comfortable and the staff was very courtious and helpfull. Only drawback was parking behind the hotel in the airport lot if you did not use the valet service.

Easy to get to Venice Beach and Santa Monica Pier going up Lincoln Boulevard. Great time to rent bikes and ride along the beach on bike friendly paths.

Only One Night
I checked in around 10pm, but the staff was wonderful. They asked me if I'd prefer a room on a high floor or a low floor and they even went so far as to make sure that I got the view I wanted! I got a wonderful night's sleep in a fantastic king bed and slept all the way until my wake-up call the next morning at 6. Everything ran 24 hours a day and the shuttle I took the next morning was on time, fast, and efficient. This hotel is truly a delight, I only wish I'd been able to stay more than one night! Fantastic value.

great spot to stay when traveling for business
I stopped in LA and stayed here for one night. It was very convenient being close to the LAX. I probably wouldn't recommend it for family vacations or if you are going to be in LA for a while, since the surrounding area isn't that great. As far as the staff, they were very friendly. The only negatives I found was the AC in the room was loud and the shower/bath tub was very small. Overall, if you are wanting to stay close to the airport, I would recommend it.

Convenient, comfortable, friendly
I had a quick business trip to LA. The Sheraton Gateway was very convenient to the airport and had a spacious, comfortable room (to relax and work). The fitness facility was nice with plenty of equipment available. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Neither a cheap hotel nor high end accommodations, but good value for comfort and convenience.

Safe bet
Stayed for a few days on a business trip. I was treated well by the employees. They even brought a rental car to me and I was able to leave it with valet to return. No problem.
