A Great Best Friend Getaway!!!!
As I walked in I felt so good right away. The way everything looked and the way all the employees presented themselves made my best friend and I feel very taken care of. I mean this place had everything there. They had a shop which came in handy when i realized I forgot my shaver at home. And I love that West Hollywood was only 20 minutes away. I just loved loved loved it all. I am excited to book there again someday.

Short drive from hotel
West Hollywood is only 20 minutes away. So even if you had a taxi take you, it wouldn't be that much. And the night life there is amazing. So many places to go to in one night.

Nice hotel and many amenities. We had a very nice stay. Just was not expecting the $28 valet parking charge. Or U can self park for $15 behind the hotel. Other than that it was a nice stay.

Great value and service
We stayed at the Sheraton Gateway for one night each coming and going. Our primary destination was Santa Barbara but this hotel was an unexpected surprise. First, the music that was piped in poolside was erotic and beautiful. The Paparrazi Restaurant had a nice selection and a really attentive wait staff. The rooms were fine with regard to size and cleanliness.

Clean, busy, moderately priced
Checked in about 9pm, very busy. Hotel was very clean. Close to LAX and convenient, free shuttle to the airport. Worth the price.

Mana Concert Getaway
My best friend and I drove to LA for a Mana Concert at the Staples Center. We arrived at our hotel about 4pm on Friday and had no problem checking in. We went to our room which was okay. It looked clean, but it smelled like sweaty body odor. As soon as we walked in our room we got a big smell of it. Not pleasant at all. But, on the bright side....we were only there for an hr and a half before we left to our concert and we were in our room late to sleep, so we didn't spend much time in our room. The down side was we didn't get to check out the lounge downstairs either. Our stay was way too short.

One of the Best at LAX
Gateway service and amenities were great. Front desk comped us (Starwood Preferred Guest member) an upgrade to the club level and provided an extra bed for a grandson to stay a few days at no cost. We stayed at the Gateway before and got the same great treatment.

Good for a night or two
Staff is excellent. We were treated very well. Housekeeping was very attentive and catered to our schedule. The facility was average. Maintenance needs to pick-up the pace. They were responsible for the vending machines, the one on our floor didn't work the whole time of our stay. The machine on the floor below was sold out and the one on the floor above emptied after we were there three days. Repairs made to the bathroom were functional but lacked the seamless appearance that you would expect from a professional maintenance staff. Parking in L.A. is a little spendy and this goes for the guests at this property also. On other trips we have stayed at properties with a lower star rating that had rooms that were more spacious, equiped with a small refrigerator and a small microwave. This property did not have a refrigerator or microwave, but the room did have a coffee machine with two choices of free Starbuck's coffee.
