Ritz Milner Hotel - Los Angeles

very close to where we needed it to where we were going but run down and dirty ok breakfast elevators smelly ceiling in room peeling

this is the good location for someone who take a public transportation.

I had checked the reviews before booking this hotel so I was prepared. The location (walkable to the convention center)was the main draw. My room was small but clean. The fact that I can say clean dispite the fact that I was wrongly assigned to a smoking room says a lot. Staff competency and customer relations are sorely lacking. They had to dither for almost 45 minutes trying to decide if another room was available before telling me the hotel was full and I couldn't switch. My advise when booking here is to be extra careful when you set up your reservation and call them to double check since they don't seem so adapt at processing online reservations. They reversed my name order and told me at first that I didn't have a reservation and then, in addition to a smoking room, also assigned me to two twin beds instead of one double bed. (and blamed it on my booking which I know was not true). Location IS great. One block from the subway, one block from a Ralph's grocery store, good restaurants, and roughly 4-5 blocks from the convention center.

The complimentary breakfast was nice. The room was very small. My reservation had not been recieved before I got there. When I checked in they requested photo ID which they forgot to return and left no message in my room about having my ID, When I asked at the desk if they had it, they asked me several questions before giving it back even though it was taped to the edge of counter right in front of them and in line with me - not a very funny game! The bed was comfortable. The nite table blocked the closet door and the bathroom door was one step from the bed. The AC worked well in spite of the 100 degree heat outside. The parking ramp required your ticket to get in and out. The ramp was very secure. There were security people patrolling on bikes in addition to the LAPD. Parking patrol was very vigilant. It is two blocks from the light rail and was within walking distance of several very nice resturants.

This hotel is definitely just average and the room was definitely small, but it was just fine with me. Great location for most everything downtown especially a good deal for being close to Staples Center.

Despite hopes, I regret to say that my mom and I did not like our stay. I knew that the hotel was built a long time ago, so I was aware that the size of the room would be rather small. But, I think the furniture could have been placed in a better configuration. We found ourselves moving the TV stand/dresser because without doing that it was too difficult to get into the tiny closet in the back of the room. The bed was placed right next to the window and the A/C box was right by our head. So, even though the unit was turned off, because of the A/C box's placement in the window, that part of the window was not well-sealed. Thus, the street noise came right through, and we did not sleep very much. We will not use this hotel again, to our regret.

Not bad for price. Clean< but no the best location.

Needed to find somewhere for one of our travel companions to stay after she lost her passport and needed to be close to the Canadian Consulate. Good location, ok room, good price!

This hotel was very clean with am awesome continental breakfasts. It was also close to several attractions that were in walking distance, BUT as for the room it was very small and the ac did not work properly.

Ideal location, close to convention center and staple center. Tiny room but average however bed was not comfortable. Wasn't expecting anything fancy but mattress seems to have overran its useful days-it was in concave shape! For a very short (2 nights) trips, it was OK! Would not recommend for long trip but for a night or two: SURE!
