Excellent hotel
We got a fantastic rate on an upgraded room, complete with a huge soaker tub. The staff were terrific. Very nice neighbourhood location that is a short cab ride to many shopping and restaurant destinations. Overall, I was very happy with our experience at Palomar and will continue to look for Kimpton hotels in future travel plans.

Surprise Find!
I had never heard of this hotel [...]. What a find! It was beautiful. Chic, contemporary, thoughtful details, free wine testing every evening, knowledgeable and professional staff. I couldn't be happier with this selection.

This hotel is located within walking distance of movies, restaurants and small funky shops. Tons to do in the area that the hotel directed me to.

Anniversery Trip
The room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant was nice, but had a very limitted menu. If you travel by car the hotel charges it's customers 30.00 dollars a day to park. Plus Tax. I would think since you were staying at the hotel parking would be included. Otherwise it was a wonderful stay.

There are not any restaurants close by. You will have a long walk or short drive to dine.

Good location, nice accomadations
Great location. Nice rooms, on the small side but plenty adequate. Great decor. Bar is not great but you can walk to th W in westwood for drinks. Best quality is that it is PET friendly. For that reason alone, I will be staying again.

Swanky, Comfortable, Good Location!
The Palomar was a very cool "form over function" swanky hotel in Westwood, LA. Staying in Westwood was convenient as it's in between crazy touristy West Hollywood and beachy Santa Monica / Venice Beach. All the hotel employees were super-friendly and helpful and the hotel room was very comfortable. I think there were 7 pillows on the king size bed... Complaints: $30 / day is mandatory for valet parking. Hotel bar closed down before midnight on a Saturday night. Big surprise coming from NYC where bars are open until 4am...

Great Hotel!
Hotel Palomar is beautiful and well maintained. The design of the place is very special. The staff is very nice and we love the wine hour. The location is great, close to all we wanted to do, in a very nice neighborhood. I love all the Kimpton Hotels, they do a good job!

Palomar LA
We were visiting UCLA, and the location was very convenient -- about a 10 minute walk to the campus' south entrance. The walk through Westwood Village is pleasant and easy. Finding the hotel at night is tricky, as several blocks of Wilshire have virtually identical high rise structures, traffic moves very fast, and the Palomar is NOT well-lit or marked. Restaurant has a limited menu, and no meatless items other than salads. Staff were very pleasant, lobby comfortable and quiet. Rooms very quiet, clean. Dark color scheme artsy, contemporary. Very comfortable beds.
