Great Experience!
Fast check-in with reservation. The room was very spacious and lovely. Bathroom was beautiful but the shower needed better cleaning between the tiles. That and the fact that you have to walk through the valet entrance to get back in late at night are the only downsides to this hotel. I will definately be back and recomend this hotel to my friends!

If you like Rock music and Pirates there is a pirate themed bar on 2nd street you will love! The Redwood Bar is known for it's pirate themed setting and bands that usually have the kids of big music bands play there! Emily's Army, the drummer being Billie Joe Armstrong's son from Green Day played there and they were fantansic. Prima Donna, the singer Kevin Preston, an unofficial member of Green Day, plays there frequently!

My New Fave Downtown LA Hotel
I'm often in Downtown LA but had never stayed at the Omni until my most recent trip. I will absolutely be back. Great room--immaculately clean, extremely comfortable bed, superb toiletries provided, and everything new and nice. The staff are great, from the efficient and courteous bellhops to the professional front desk personnel. And if you join their club, you get free WiFi, which is a huge bonus. Location is great and within walking distance of wonderful restaurants and the burgeoning Downtown lounge scene. Only (minor) downside is the hike up the hill to the hotel from most of Downtown, but you can avoid it if you use escalators through California Plaza.

Interesting
I found it funny while waiting at the entrance of the lobby. Was dressed for the Opera and people would come up to me and and ask me for information. I normally look at all aspects of the hotel I'm staying at was was quite helpful. I'm Hispanic and most of the staff was Hispanic, normal conclusion.

Super relaxing and great food!
I stayed for a long weekend, Saturday through Tuesday. The staff is very friendly; the location is super quiet at night; Disney Hall and the Cathedral are a short walk; the food at the hotel is delicious; there's a patio outside with fire-pit tables, right in the middle of the LA skyline; the red line subway is one block away, so it's easy to get to Hollywood and back fast and cheap. It was a totally relaxing getaway.

Sit on the patio outside NOE (the hotel's fine dining restaurant) and order from the bar food menu. Delicious and inexpensive and unbeatable ambiance!
