Downtown LA at affordable price

The room was comfortable, although small. Location is great; walking distance from all downtown destinations. In room TV was very limited. If other options were available they were not easily accessible. Room service menu was, well, a little "shi shi" for us, highly eclectic, so LA. We weren't there for any of that and expect to stay again next time we need to stay overnight in downtown LA.

You get what you pay for

Great location. This is an old hotel though that has been recently remodeled - felt a little institutional. Small rooms - okay cleanliness but again, old. Not my type of place for a long stay but tolerable (barely) for the one night. I would not have stayed here if the corporate travel office had booked it, but it was on my dime and of course, was non-refundable so I was stuck. Complimentary continental breakfast was small croissants, coffee, orange juice and apples.

Great Location! Chic European Feel--

Rooms are on smallish side (like European hotels) but you don't come to LA to stay in your hotel room!! :-)

L.A. Laker weekend getaway

They call this a "boutique" hotel. What that really means is that the rooms are small, service isn't good and the staff are trying to be too hip to be friendly. While the decor was upgraded, it was not suitable unless you're travling alone and don't need much. We couldn't get local channels and the staff did nothing to accommodate us. Spend a few more dollars and stay at a better place.

Location and necessities

Stayed at the O for the Pac10 Basketball tournament 3/10-3/13/10. Hotel is mid block. Not highly visible but very nice. The rooms have been remodeled to emphasize max usage in minimum space. Built in desk was very convenient for using laptop and doing some work. The wall mounted lcd tv was excellent. I liked the wired internet connection for good speed, security and no surprises. The O is a great location. Close to Staples(3 blocks) close to a Ralph's supermarket in case you need anything. The continental breakfast was simple, with apples, oranges, milk, orange juice, coffee tea and croissants. I probably would have preferred something hot but it was healthy, simple and convenient. The bed was comfortable, the a/c worked and the windows opened. The alley noise was noticeable in the morning as delivery trucks and garbage pickup could be heard but the fresh air was worth it. Turned off the a/c after cooling the room off because it was pretty noisy for sleeping. Clean and simple. Nice remodel. Would definitely come back to stay.
