Modern boutique hotel near Staples Center in L.A. with tapas restaurant
The O Hotel is stylish and provides 67-rooms in five-story building in downtown Los Angeles. Punctuated on the outside with black-and-white glass, and on the inside by a brick-walled tapas restaurant and bar (whiskey drinks are a specialty), this hotel is a marker of the exciting millennial renaissance of downtown. DJs provide entertainment Monday through Saturday nights. A service charge provides guests of the O Hotel with high-speed wireless Internet access, bottled water and access to a nearby Gold's Gym.

LACKS BASIC ACCOMEDATIONS

NO BOTTLE WATER OR VENDING MACHINES FOR LATE NIGHT THIRST. AC NOT AS COLD AT ALL.

Young and Hip

The hotel has been updated to be very cool and club like in its atmosphere.The hotel staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about walking directions to restaurants, stores,etc. They were also apologetic in advance about a party being held there that night by Kanye West,and let the hotel guests know they were invited-I guess to take some of the sting out of the late night noise. We declined the invite,and slept soundly,even though the party went till 2 a.m.I guess this hotel is a hot spot,but the staff were very attentive and helpful to old 47 year olds like us.The room was modern in a young way,like very upscale Ikea-platform beds,fluffy white duvets,well lit,really cool bathroom.The only downside was the room seemed really small as there was only the view of the next hotel,which was very close to us.So our part of the hotel felt claustrophobic.

A ten minute walk to The Water Grill,well known for upscale seafood.It will take you 15 minutes on the way back,as you will be full.Make sure to have the Lemon Creme Brulee and Mocha Creme Brulee after your entree!

Very clean, sleek and modern. Nice hotel.

It was a nice hotel but it had no restaurant because it is under construction. The room was nice with a nice flat screen TV but hardly any channels (8 channels at the most) and couldn't rent a movie. Front desk was helpful in providng places to go eat with directions.But when walking in and out of hotel there always seemed to be a different front desk worker talking with their friends. The front desk was not very friendly or warm to customers. When checkout came though, I was billed for phone calls that I had not made. A little disorganized when it came to checking out. The front desk seems unaware and weak on communication skills. Should have first gone over the phone bill with customer before processing. Overall on a scale from 1-5 I give Hotel O a 3 (5 being very good).

The staples center is in walking distance which is great! Shopping and dining is also in walking distance, which is nice.
