Great Business Hotel for Lawyers

Close to the federal courthouses and federal building, this hotel has what every traveling lawyer needs. Clean room, free wifi internet, comfortable bed, good shower, ironing board and iron, full-length mirror, very reasonable rates. Plus, if you like Japanese food, walk outside the front door and into Little Tokyo. Neighborhood feels safe with lots of younger people and families walking around until at least 10 pm.

Good Location

If you're in LA you need a car. Park at the tokyo mall parking lot, it's cheaper than the hotel valet and just a few steps away from the hotel. Save big if you overnight park after midnight, only five bucks!

In the heart of Downtown LA- Little Tokyo

1. It's located in one of my favorite places in LA, Little Tokyo. Miyako is surrounded by good eats and cute Japanese stores, and is in close distance to other tourist attractions. 2. Although the room was clean and comfortable(loved the bedsheets and pillows), it isn't completely up-to-date on renovations (wallpaper was peeling, cracking) as you'd expect after seeing Miyako's beautifully updated lobby. 3. All staff (front desk, housekeeping, bell persons) were friendly and accommodating. Miyako will be my go-to dt LA hotel from now on.

I love my stay here!

This is the second time I've stayed here and I love it! The only downside is the public parking right next to the hotel; it curves and goes down hill so there's a slight blind spot. The pro does out way the con completely though! The staff is super nice, the rooms are always beautiful, and it's right next to Japantown! You can step right out to shop or EAT!!! We came down from San Francisco for the BAP Concert and had a blast!

Close to LA Union Station

Reasonable value and close to LA Union Station (rail), which is located in a section of downtown with few accommodation options. Miyako Hotel is older, but well maintained and clean, with attentive staff, and located in a neighborhood you can explore on foot. Room in which we stayed could of used a remodel, but aside from minor wear & tear it was perfectly fine and good value. Only complaint was a false fire alarm on one of the nights we lodged.

Great Japanese restaurants every which way you look! Super for Sushi and Udon lovers, but not so great for kids who just want hamburgers.

Great priced hotel in a unique location

I was very satisfied with our stay here. The hotel is in a fantastic location -close to downtown L.A. and in the great Little Tokyo area. Hotel was within walking distance to lots of Japanese restaurants and shops. The room itself was spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly and there's a great cafe and gift shop inside. The only downside was the parking. You can have valet parking for like $20 a day or you could do the self parking for about $17. The self parking was a bit annoying b/c you have to take an elevator to the garage and the elevator was soooo slow. You could take the stairs but they are dark and smelly. Other than that, I'd definitely stay here again.

Cheap and Nice

The location of the hotel is in the heart of little Tokyo. It's close to city transit, city hall, a farmers market and an underground strip mall. A short 10 minute walk and you could be on the train to the hottest spots in Hollywood in 20 minutes. It's surrounded by great restaurants, if you love Japanese cuisine. It cost about 62-65 bucks to get to and from LAX by taxi, but once you figure out the city transit system you don't have to worry about that. The only pitfall is, it 's in the middle of a major renovation, but you can't hear anything from the rooms. The staff is very courteous and pleasant.

Drivers in LA are horrible, and traffic is horrendous. If you feel comfortable with taking public transit do it! saves time and money!

Great spot to stay in LA

Room was super clean. Super friendly staff. Karaoke bar service could be better, but had a blast. Easy location to hope on the highway. Lots of Korean places to eat in the area. Heated toilet seat and bidet was awesome. Would definitely stay here again.
